Could be - but I'm not about to go wait in any line all night to probably walk away with nothing. I'll just keep impatiently waiting while living my life outside a line.
I was thinking about this as well...
Apple surely knows how constrained the inventory will be at the stores and the last thing they want after the preorder fisaco is a local news outlet or even national news saying
"Does the iPhone 6+ even exist?...We'll let you know after the weather with Bob..."
If they can move those orders to "Preparing for shipment.." and keep at least those people out of the lines it would probably help a lot...

Which carrier? I ordered before 5:25 AM on the site, but tmobile contact free, which seems to be the rarest of the bunch.
Using the iPhone app, I put my order in at what would be 3:34am EDT. The website was still not open yet, but lots of orders got in before that.
It doesn't really matter anyway.
I also see a new pending charge for the price of the 6+ 64GB AT&T. I ordered at 4:45am EST after trying for 2 hours.

I just got the pending charge for the full amount too.... I don't think I've ever been this happy being charged something.
Now if only we know from the first group how long between being charged vs. preparing for shipment vs shipped!

I was in the first group for my wifes phone. 6 64GB At&T. Her phone went to preparing for shipment on Sunday, Then shipped yesterday. For delivery tomorrow. It shipped from Harrisburg, PA. The charge for her phone was on there since Friday right after I ordered.
I ordered at 520 am est for a 64 gb 6+. Still haven't been charged, and still processing. I was really hoping we would see some movement by today
