I looked on my Apple order status to see it. I don't think you get notified until it is set to shipping.
I still have "pending charges" on my credit card for a couple of orders (not Iphone related orders) I had made from other companies - one is from Amazon, and based on tracking, it was shipped yesterday, and is currently in IL, and will be delivered to me tomorrow... the other item, I received by FedEX this morning - but both charges are still showing as pending transactions!!
Which phone? A phone that you are receiving tomorrow? If so, me too and that is normal since the phones were already local... they didn't turn to shipping until yesterday... this is due to them being held back - this doesn't happen with orders that are NOT part of an initial launch day delivery.
Any of you now "preparing for shipment" - has a shipping label been created on UPS for you? (Via Track by Reference via entering your phone number as 0000000000 format.)
Use Tracking REFERENCE number. Enter your phone number as reference. There's a couple threads on this board with better instructions. This usually gives you info before you get an official tracking number (apparently).
You get an email when it ships and the email includes tracking info. No real need to continually check the order status page.
Are they all definitely coming through UPS? For my iPhone 5 I got it through FedEx I believe.
FWIW, I got the alert from AMEX first (I am setup to get an alert for all "card not present" transactions). It took another 30 minutes to update to "Preparing for Shipping". UPS.com is still not showing the shipment via my iTunes phone number, like my 9/19 iPhone 6 did. I guess I need to consider that my 2nd and 3rd phones will ship via FEDEX and figure out how to look up by reference number.

LOL that email usually lags by 3 or 4 days... my phone turned to 'shipped' in order status yet I just got the "your item has shipped" email from Apple this morning... so yeah it's like last weeks news

I can't tell if I was charged though because my total amount was $0 due to me using Next and not having sales tax in Oregon.
That, and I use a credit union, and their website isn't that great, so I can't see individual charges...

Same boat (plane from China) as everyone else. Charged and preparing for shipment. Same delivery dates though.
I ordered a Space Grey 6+, 128gb at approximately 2:45am pacific time on the 12th.
No change here card has not been charged our anything losing hope.
There are easily one or two million orders in the Oct 1-6 group. It could take hours to get to everyone.
Well I do see the full charge (charged today), but it is still pending. Not sure if that matters.
Oct 1-6 delivery date..... just switched to "Preparing for Shipment" .... yay, now the mantra from sister "is it shipping yet" will end..... *waves at sister who is probably reading this now*
ETA: charge pending on credit card.... and my sister think it will be here next Tuesday and she isn't happy.... just for that I'm holding hers until Oct 7..

No, I was just showing that even though I have "pending charges" on my credit card (for a couple items NOT Iphone related).... I actually already have one of those items in my possession - even though it shows on my credit card as pending, and have another item (also NOT Iphone related) on it's way, to be delivered tomorrow.
My order right now for the Iphone is showing pending as well, and on apples site shows, preparing to ship. Based on the other orders, it could stay as a pending charge and be shipped (which would be updated on Apples site when it's shipped, but don't need to watch frantically for the pending charge to become an actual charge)
