I don't think first wave launch day time frame will work for us. For 1st wave they have their phone ready and waited until tomorrow. But I believe our phones are shipped ASAP
It would be one thing to change the status to put the kibosh on folks canceling their pre-orders and trying to get one in-store; it's quite another to actually charge their credit cards for the phones and then not ship for a lengthy period of time.
They're really prepping for shipping. It's just a question of how fast they're going to get them to us.
Reality check for those of your who are anxious- in the past the "preparing for shipment" status can last for quite a while. I wouldn't be surprised if this remained the case until next week.

Good point, My cc was charged full amount so I would hope that's a good thing lol. I'll be checking ups/fedex tracking for the next 2 days.
Remember that the circumstances for the folks who are getting their phones tomorrow are unique; their experience is going to be different from ours.
Thats what I thought. So it would be safe to say that it will ship Monday or Tuesday with a delivery of appx Sep 26 or 27th . but that is a guess.. I hope I am wrong and it comes earlier for everyone including me..
So are you saying that our 2nd wave will ship faster or go to shipping faster rather?
remember apple won't charge the card until its ready for ship...if they where not going to ship them until next week i don't think our cards would have been charged today. I think they might go out tonight and if we are lucky might seem them tomorrow if not tomorrow then monday

Yep the exact same configuration now "Preparing for Shipment". Btw, I can't believe my order actually went to that phase with all the doubts concerning going over my credit limit for the month. Don't worry yours should change soon.

Right, if shipped from China it takes 3-5 days to get here from China. and thte last time I checked it still says delivery standard shipping not Overnight shipping. If everyone was placed on Overnight shipping and it was shipped tonight even from China then the soonest you would see the iPhones would be Monday at earliest but most likely later in the week.

I get Saturday deliveries all the time but then again I order a lot of things from Amazon and they are starting to deliver things even on Sundays. Not UPS but amazon, sorry got off topic. But UPS does deliver on Saturday if requested. Apple could request this if they chose to do so.
Actually, it only takes less than one day - China to Anchorage to Louisville. Then another one to three days from Louisville to your house depending how far you are from Louisville.

Yes Ups and FedEx deliver. I am a Ups driver and any iPhone that comes in Saturday will have a Saturday upgrade sticker and will be delivered.
Really? I did not know that it comes that fast from China I live in Las Vegas so i would be getting it 2-3 days after it arrived into the USA. Still not long to wait We almost have our phones people...
Can you please tell everyone that ALL of these phones have expedited shipping already? I know the site says Standard, but no one is getting Ground.

Amazon does Saturday all the time. I believe ups would do this for apple.
