Phone has been in "Preparing for Shipment" for a few hours. However, my cases are still Processing.....

There seems to be a fair amount of people with 9/19 delivery, no tracking number and not able to check by reference yet. I don't think those people are going to get screwed, so we're still plausible.

hey pals, i was in the second wave bucket as the others but when i just woke up, i saw the email says my card had been charged by Apple and I had almost a heart attack. went to order status page and the result is:

Same. Ordered 128 plus silver via apple, preparing for shipment and my card is charged. Going to check ups. (Date was the 12th, time 2:50 central oct 1-6.

Oh and also I just got off the phone with FedEx!

I know the guy from way back and he told me they had shipments since this morning of the soon to be delivered 9/19 iPhones but suddenly they just got ANOTHER unexpected shipment to land around noon and its hidden away in the back and he says the size of the boxes are LARGER in this one and that the whole shipment is mysteriously wrapped in GOLD! He says that secret shipment isn't even in the systems and they didn't even know they were coming they just showed up overnight!

Does anyone care to discuss what the heck this is all about.... I'm hoping this is a joke =P

I expect it sooner than the original date, but not tomorrow. Maybe later next week is possible.

And you are correct. Apple always puts a date for delivery at the later. And it will guarantee be delivered by the date listed . And often arrives sooner. But you will always get a tracking number if you ordered from the apple website.

This thread is getting out of hand with the stories haha. Now i'm just sitting at work reading about the ways people are trying to troll others in the thread.

Does anyone know what "Preparing for Shipment" actually means? Like, does that mean they're building the phone in preparation for putting it in a box? Or is it already in a box, just sitting in a line to get on a plane in China?

It means manufacturing of your phone just began in the factory.

If you got preparing to ship this morning, get excited

Just got off phone with Apple rep, since others have been posting here. The guy was awesome, very kind. Sounds like some reps DO know what's going on right now with orders and others have no clue (keep in mind there are thousands of CSR's). He told me to expect delivery tomorrow, latest Saturday. Apple has full control of every shipping plane/truck/employee over the next 48 hours. Tracking will be updated late tonight, orders will deliver tomorrow by end of day. Get pumped!!!!!!:apple::apple::apple::apple:

Sounds like someone stole Charlie's Golden Ticket. They should really give it back. Charlie's a really nice kid and don't forget about Grandpa Joe.

I ordered on 15th Sept at around 11:30 and at the moment my Order Status is 'Preparing For Dispatch' and delivery between 1st - 6th Oct and has been since 11am this morning.

I just want to know has any got any previous experience or advice on when I am likely to receive my iPhone 6.

I am in Essex in the UK and ordered the iPhone 6 16GB in Silver.

Thanks.

Even if I get tracking that shows delivery by tomorrow I won't believe it until I am signing for it....

It would be nice...But if IF's and BUT's were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry F'n Christmas....Am I right?
