URGENT QUESTION:
Im getting nervous that i havent seen any change in my order yet. I just looked at my credit card account online (I dont use it often) and number of the card online does not match the card in my wallet. And there is a message stating that they have sent me a new card ( I have never received a new card)

If I call Apple will they change my payment to another card?

Most banks leave the prior card active until you activate the new one (for cards expiring soon). For FRAUD concerns, they may deactivate immediately.

Thats what Im scared of, the card isn't supposed to expire until next year. Ive never received a new card. Im wondering if my order hasn't gone past processing because its not able to charge my card

If you call apple now, I doubt it would delay your shipment. It's a simple billing update. You can ask them before you change it, too. Call them! Better safe than sorry.

If your e-mail address is correct on your order, you should receive a notification from Apple if your payment was declined.
 
Any other 6+ 64GB Gray ATT orders, with an Oct1-6 delivery date, yet to see any movement on the CC or shipping? I ordered 0526 EDT, Sep12.

Excuse my incessant posting about this (this thread is moving so fast it's easy to lose track of all the posts!)

But yes, I ordered the exact same phone ~3:40CST, no movement.

I got an iPhone 6 + 128GB gray ATT and have October 1-6 shipment since I pre-ordered it at 1:03 am pacific time. I woke up this morning with "preparing for shipment". I checked my card and I was charged today as well. I called an Apple representive and was told that "preparing for shipment" didn't really matter because my phone will still ship on the date stated. So I'm bummed now. Hopefully I can get it by next week.
 
I just checked my bank account and noticed they finally added a hold for the 128 gb iPhone 6 plus. I tried calling my bank to verify the holds in case it would hurry the process but of course they said their computers are down

I'd take that with a giant grain of salt. Sounds like an uneducated CSR who is clueless. Experience on this board over the years does not match his statement.

Just called twice on my two separate accounts where we ordered no-contract Plus 128's. Both were charged today and both say preparing for shipment.

Both reps basically said I'd probably get them before Oct 1 but until there is a tracking number, there's no way to know. Neither offered me any free swag, btw. And I didn't ask.

Whew...Apple rep said she could change the card and did and said I will not lose my place. Weird thing is she said the other card went through and didnt come back as declined. But better to be safe than sorry. I had to use my debit card which I didnt want to do. but at least my mind is at ease
