I love the optimism, but I'm afraid you're mistaken. It doesn't matter what you put in for your reference number, as long as you enter a 9 digit zip you'll get that message. It doesn't mean anything other than... your phone hasn't shipped.

I get the same thing. Order number and phone number as reference and full 9 digit zip

I did the same, and minE is coming from fedex as well...it just say in progess with 3 purple arrows and nothing else lol..

Hmm...I saw the same thing when I put in my phone numbers and then a fake number to see what was happening, but if I only put in a fake number (even a valid land line number) it doesn't work. I can only get a response if I put in my cell/order number and then the fake number.

It could mean something...

It has to mean fedex has our phones and it's in transit. I order from Amazon prime with fedex/ups all the time. And I usually don't get a tracking number till late night.

It doesn't mean anything, probably a website bug. If it was in their system, it would, at the very least, have a tracking number visible.

Ummmmm ....... When I enter my phone number and order number into the FedEx system and put my nine digit ZIP Code in, I get the same results regarding that the shipment is in progress. But as an experiment, I entered a completely different nine digit ZIP Code (30022-5612 - an address I have not lived at in years) and I get the EXACT SAME RESULT.

Anyone care to try to duplicate my results using your own nine digit ZIP Code and then another nine digit ZIP Code and see if the same thing happens? If so, all of this we are seeing on the FedEx site may simply be "false positives". :(

I'm excited to get this phone too (love my gadgets), but we need to stop deluding ourselves. The bulk probably won't ship out until next week at the earliest.

If I put in my cell number and zip, it works. If I put in my cell and your zip, it doesn't. :confused:

If I put in my cell number and zip and a fake number, both numbers show progress.

If I put in a phone number not associated with one of my orders and my zip, it doesn't work.

If I put in my order number and zip, it works. If I put in a fake order number or different zip code, it doesn't.

You are my hero. I was not using the 9 digit zip code and when I did it worked! No estimated delivery data or anything but I was able to track it by reference and it says "in transit." For all I know the phone could be sitting at the fed-ex facility or apple warehouse with a shipping label? Either way, this is exciting news!

I am guessing next week sometime.

I entered all correct info first time and it worked. Then I tried to delete the last digit of my order number and it still work. Maybe a false positive.
 
I don't believe apple would change these orders for oct1-7 to prepare to ship unless they were actually going to ship tonight. Many of these were ordered in the middle of the night by the apple faithful who if they don't receive their phones are unable to cancel and buy at the Apple Store tomorrow . I'm sure Apple is better than that.

Saw that some of you were having success with this and tried the same... Looks legit. I used my order number, phone number, and 9-digit zip code.

My hopes are low... But its better than nothing!
 
I work for Ups and we have a huge account with Apple for their shipments. It's rare that your going to get a FedEx shipment unless it's shipped from the carriers. Very few shipments are FedEx. Ups is 99.99% going to be at your door if you ordered from Apple.
