Oct. 1 to 6 Delivery Date Orders

Some credit card companies do not show the $1.00 since it's only a verification charge to make sure that the card is legit...

For those of us with Oct 1-6 dates, Are you willing to cancel to wait in line and take a chance that they may or may not have the iphone you want?

I been thinking about it but as it looks I would have to be there early as hell on the 18th if not earlier. Not sure i want to spend that long in a line lol.

No. I'll keep my preorder to guarantee the model and capacity I want.

If the date doesn't move up, I'm going to the Apple store at 3 AM. When the employees confirm they have a 6 Plus for me (they walk the line giving out cards, etc) I will cancel my Apple pre-order and hope my upgrade resets with AT&T in time. It's a gamble, but one I'm willing to take.

Worst case scenario I'll pay full price for the phone. I'm on AT&T NEXT anyway.. which is like 0% financing. Not ideal to buy it up front but my monthly bill will be $47 less lol..

At what time will they walk the line to ask what type phone you want?

Same... Someone in another thread said that if the dates move up, it'd be early next week.

What really? Who said that? Which thread?

What if they charge our card before that tho?

I think they only charge the card once they ship the phone. If that's the case then we have time to get it on the 19th if we wait in line. My concern is how long it will take to reset the eligibility and how many people will be ahead of me if I do go to the apple store lol.

The odds aren't good. In the past it has taken up to 3 business days for an upgrade eligibility to reset when an order is cancelled like that. Sometimes you can get manager at an AT&T store to override the system, but you'd have to be at an AT&T store to do that.

Then again, AT&T might have upgraded their system to be a lot faster with resetting upgrade clocks. But I wouldn't count on it.

It would suck to wait in line all that time and not have the eligibility reset in time when you get to the counter. It's big gamble. If i had a late oct or nov date then i would just cancel now and go wait in line on Thursday with a reset lol.

I canceled my AT&T pre-order and my eligibility was reset in seconds. I think that's a great plan!

Did you cancel the same day that you ordered? If so, AT&T might have just been slow to even recognize that you pre-ordered in the first place.

OR... AT&T finally got smart, and they're now waiting until the phone ships before recognizing that you used an upgrade. Since there was a lot of canceling and re-ordering going on in previous years that was really messing the upgrade eligibility up in the past.

Two days after once a AT&T spokeperson confirmed my iPhone+ wasn't arriving until November

Mine still says processing

CC not charged yet

Order: iPhone 6 Plus - 128 Gold (T-Mobile)

Mine also says that it'll be delivered October 1st-6th. My credit card had a couple temporary charges from Apple the 13th, but they disappeared. Still currently "processing".
