Awesome, I might have to try this out. Thanks!

Wait, you said it will DELIVER by 9/19?! Or SHIP by 9/19?

Scheduled delivery Friday, 9/19 by 3pm for residential

Odd, the iPhone ups app won't list the delivery date but the ups.com site does, after you login.

>>>UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again.

Dang.. maybe mine isn't set up yet, or is going by Fedex. I'm not logged in though. Wonder if that really makes a difference.

I still found mine when i wasn't logged in. When i did finally log in, it just gave me more info, like the delivery date. I think fedex has something similar but haven't ever used them. Did you enter country and zip code for delivery address?

Yep, I got the same thing.

Thanks for the link. No luck there either. Mine doesn't seem to be set up yet, but your info has given me new optimism that I MIGHT not have to camp out. :D

Do you cancel your online order to get upgrade eligibility back once you get close to the front of the line on launch day or something? What's the standard strategy?

My strategy is once Apple assures me they have my 6 Plus in stock (and I will get one) I will cancel my pre-order immediately and pray my upgrade eligibility resets before it's my turn to check out.

IF it doesn't, then I will just pay full price for the phone and skip the NEXT program.

Of course, this is assuming my pre-order doesn't bump up to 9/19. If it does, I stay home! :D However, with MY luck, I'm not planning on that happening.

I found a thread on here about 30min ago detailing that if you go to ups.com and choose to track by reference number, enter your phone number you used to order phone, ########## not ###-###-####, and fill out zip and country, it will find your phone. The caveat is that it must be shipping through UPS. I'm not sure if fedex has something similar. So I do it and found my actual tracking number for my iPhone 6+ 64gb. 1.3lbs. shipment prepared 9/13. After I logged into myups.com account it allows even more detail and I saw it is scheduled to deliver 9/19 by 3pm.

Apple.com still lists my order as "items processing" and a ship date of 10/1-10/6.

UPS reference method

I tried both ups and fed ex for reference tracking and neither worked.

Which size and model did you get?

I still have the Oct 1-6 date and nothing came up checking UPS reference number. Assuming they would of used UPS for my order. I checked Fedex too and nothing came up.

Tried via UPS... mine still says processing...

Going away on Oct 4th for a month, need it here by Oct 3rd @ the latest :(

They usually start handing them out right around or before store opening time. This way they don't have people stand in line for no phone (due to limited supply) and rage at them after they've been there HOURS for nothing.

:apple:

Damn that still sucks if you plan on going to an apple store early Thursday though. I would be there all day and all night only to find out the bad news by close to opening time lol.

Hey Everyone,

Wanted to add some information to our ever-expanding thread for those of us in the October 1st-6th estimate. First of all, EVERYONE who has placed a pre-order has been switched to expedited shipping even though the website continues to reflect standard. The rep said that they chose to do it without alerting everyone in case certain people wanted to start complaining about not getting it (perhaps later pre-orders). In addition, for those of you on VERIZON who are considering camping out Thursday night, for verizon anyway (cant speak for the other carriers) UNTIL the item is SHIPPED your upgrade is still open. I just called verizon and even though my order is in the processing phase my upgrade stills shows as available per their computers. Now I'm considering going out and camping with the crazies and see what happens since all I lose is some time.

I hope that's true for AT&T as well. It'll save me the stress when I get to check out after camping for hours.

My rate plan is appearing now as well. It wasn't there before. I wonder if that means anything?

I'm not certain at all but I'm HOPING it's one of the steps towards getting our phone ship dates moved up. :D

No record in either UPS or FedEx's system of my shipment. I remember tracking by reference at UPS before during the iPhone 5 launch and it gave me some early information. Nothing yet this time, though. :/

No charge yet on my credit card, either...

My rate plan is showing as well, I'm not sure however if it was already showing before or not. I sadly, do not remember.

If more of us don't start to see UPS/Fedex info by Monday/Tuesday then I think we're out of luck for a launch day delivery. :( We can always hope, though. :)

Cool, a thread dedicated to this delivery date, guess out of personal jealously I was getting flustered reading posts 'Yay I have a shipping/tracking # from FedEx." lol :D

Anyway, Oct.1-6 here. Shipping 7-10 business days.
As of 5PM ET 9/14 - Order is STILL in "Processing" status and card has not been charged yet.

I did just get off the phone with my credit card company..just gave them a heads-up that I am in fact authorizing the Apple charge. Shouldn't be a problem but I'm just covering all bases, don't need any delays.

I've seen many other posts that someone needed to call the bank - "problem authorizing the transaction."

I checked UPS and FedEx (Apple generally uses FedEx in my area) and nothing heading my way in their system yet. I do see the Rate Plan addition to my and my wife's orders now, and AT&T is now reflecting that our phones are no longer eligible for an upgrade, but no other details.

Here's hoping they come before the end of the month. I'm not too anxious to get them on Friday (though that would be nice since I'll be off work anyway), but it would be nice to have them sooner than later since we bothered to wake up at 2am and pre-order.

I agree with you, By Wednesday I think i'll start calling my local apple stores to gauge how many 6+'s they will have for people in line. Hell I might even go there after work on Wednesday just to see if there are people in line and maybe if there on display.

For those who are thinking of trying to find one in store on Friday 9/19 and cancel their pre-order, I got some good info from an AT&T rep online. I want to try and find one in store and cancel my apple.com order but was worried that my upgrade eligibility will not reset immediately If I cancel my order. This will only work if your iPhone does not ship yet since I believe you cannot cancel your order when it is being shipped.

Here's what I found out (See image for reference)

1) If you cancel you preorder, it can take AT&T up to 3 days to reverse your upgrade eligibiity. So even if you find an iphone in an Apple Store, you will likely not be able to buy it using your upgrade if you cancel it when at the apple store. Sometimes you can get lucky tho...

2) For AT&T customers, you must find the phone at an AT&T Company store, not an AT&T Retail store (or Apple Store). Retail stores cannot reverse/reset your upgrade eligibility once you cancel your order (apple.com). Company stores can.

3) To find an AT&T company store, go to AT&T Maps and look for stores that are Company Stores, not Authorized Retailers.

4) I bought my iPhone 5 on release day from a Company Store with no crazy lines. Seems people think they'll only find one in an Apple Store. Hoping I can try the same.

I have new temporary charges from Apple on my credit card again. I had some the first day when I pre-ordered, now they're back:

Thanks for the info. I'm sure their "official" policy is 3 days to reset. That's why it's definitely a gamble.

I considered camping at an AT&T store instead of Apple but I want a 6 Plus and I have a strong feeling the supply is very limited. The odds my AT&T store will have a 6 Plus just aren't nearly as good as at my local Apple store. If my pre-order isn't bumped up I'll still gamble with camping at Apple.

EDIT: I just remembered my daughter's line is NEXT upgrade eligible. If my eligibility doesn't reset, I'll get the 6 Plus on her line and just call AT&T to swap it over to my number when I get home. :)
