Yes ended up with a 6. I wear a lot of blazers and suit jackets and the 6+ didn't fit in side pocket. Both are amazing. If fit into clothes isn't an issue I think the 6+ is worth the wait. Amazing screen and jealous over the 2 day battery life

I ordered from the Apple Store (I think via the App) around 7am ET maybe a bit before on 09/12 - iPhone 6+ space gray 64GB AT&T on their Next plan. I bought the case today (olive brown leather), but no change in my status on Apple.com. I'm trying not to check too often. I tried to buy it today but the line around the block discouraged me. May see about tomorrow or Sunday. Otherwise, I'll just wait, I guess.

I have an iPhone 5s that works perfectly fine. The bigger reason why I'm okay with the few week wait is that I have a pro clip holder for my phone that I use religiously EVERY single time I'm in the car. They haven't come out with one for the 6/6+ yet. It would actually be frustrating for me if I had my 6+ now and not be able to use my pro clip holder in my car.

AT&T 6+ 64gb gold ordered from Apple.com received reservation 9-12 but order not official until 9-13
My wife got her iPhone 6 yesterday but my iPhone 6 Plus is in the 10/13-10/20 batch.
Read online that Apple sold 4 million units on the first day - if half was Iphone 6 Plus then with 140,000 daily production, also read online, we are looking at 2 weeks plus a few days more for shipping.
I am guessing my batch will probably ship around 10/3. But that is just my guess - any earlier would be great!

Cancelled my 6+
I cannot believe I am saying this, but I just now cancelled my 6+ order.
I went to Apple store, played with 6 and 6+ for 15 minutes and immediately realized 6+ is just too big for my normal usage. I have iPad mini and was hoping to replace with 6+ as well as I wanted optical image stabilization as i take photos a lot (amateur photographer). But size is really killing other usages like carrying it all the time and using phone for fitness (running). After seeing it physically in store, I feel it is almost impossible to run with 6+.
Otherwise, both phones are absolutely gorgeous.

Seeing a lot of Verizon orders from 10/7 get moved to 10/3. I reckon all early Oct shipments will be on the same plane so why not also move mines up earlier.
Yes. Almost immediately after canceling I ordered iPhone 6 64 GB Space Grey and selected Pickup at Apple store. And guess what? It is ready for pickup!! I will get it tomorrow morning when store opens.
I was able to use upgrade eligibility immediately - no issues. ATT Store is nearby so in case it is not activated i will head on to ATT Store.

i cancelled my preorder last night (delivery: oct 13-20) and placed a new order via apple.com for pickup (at&t 6plus 64gb space gray - 2 yr contract). when i got to the store i asked them to change the 2 yr contract to next12... had to wait a bit. kinda risky since they werent sure if it would process quickly. an hour later i walked out with a new phone. i was willing to wait for oct 13-20 delivery but when i saw that a nearby store had it, j just took a chance.
Dont wait! I had a 13-20 date and went online st 3 am and checked my local store....6+ IN STOCK for approx 45 min....then out of stock Seems every store gets a few every nite....picked it up next morning and typing this on a 6+ now....
I want to do this so badly, but it seems like the T-Mobile 6 Pluses are like gold dust! I've been checking the Apple site every night after midnight, but there are always zero phones for T-Mobile in the area. I live in Los Angeles too so I have about 12 Apple stores within an hour drive!
Has anyone managed to get a T-Mobile phone using the in store pickup?
