Ugh I was hoping to wake up this morning with my card at least charged for this dang phone but nothing. When I call verizon *611, the automated voice says my order is pending shipment of 9/23 which is tomorrow and still no charge???!!!

Seriously, though, the process is more than a bit weird. My order (Plus, 256GB, AT&T, black) was placed around 6 am on Sept. 9. I really didn't expect to hear anything more until the last day or two of the month. But it is annoying that others who ordered after I did have received their iPhones. Like a lot of people here, I'm checking availability at the Apple Store. I'd get one and cancel my order, but there aren't any that I want, and I'm not going to compromise. Maybe those of us who are still waiting will get hiss-less phones, LOL.
 
Tried to grab my same configuration at 12:01, got nothing. Literally every store in NJ are sold out of the Matte Black iPhone 7+ 128GB from AT&T. The closest one is in Long Island. The flagship NYC stores don't have them in stock either.
Check back throughout the day... my store in Cincinnati got a shipment at 3:00pm which included my configuration - I was able to pick up my 7+ 256 AT&T last night! Not matte black like I originally wanted but I kinda wanted the pink one anyway, which is what they got.

When I was picking up my phone last night the line associate said they had gotten a number of black ones in mostly AT&T. My config arrived in an afternoon shipment - except in pink - which I'm ok with so I snagged it. I love it actually lol. But I would definitely check on Apple.com throughout the day because the phone wasn't there in the morning but arrived at 3:00pm according to my sales person.
 
Is anyway to buy a sprint phone from Apple without an account? The only available iPhone 7 plus black close to me is from sprint.
 
I checked the stock of my local Apple Store. If I wanted Rose Gold, I would be in luck. The closest matte black is in Metarie. And of course no movement of the phone I ordered or charge to the credit card.
 
Yep, now it's official. The posted charge on my bank account that went back to a pending charge yesterday is now completely gone. The charge was 100% removed. I am now exactly where I was at 9/9 3:15edt when I received that disappointing email from Apple with a Processing 10/4-10/10 2-3 weeks ETA.

This is absolutely insane.

Chatting with Apple, UPS, AT&T, or my bank would produce no results because no one knows what is happening in the first place, and my special situation is surely buried even further in the confusion. Update......while I was calling Apple to help me through it guess what, thevone for pick up is now gone. Great going, Apple.

I just reserved an iPhone 7 plus sprint black 128 gab fot today at 2pm in local Apple Store. Since its sprint and I have T-Mobile do you think they gonna give me if I am gonna pay in full

How does the reservation process go, do they reserve them based on your Apple ID or cell phone number? I am thinking about trying to use my Wife's info and when showing up to the store telling them its for me (will that work?)
 
Update Thursday Sept 22

Still showing preparing for shipment. Has since Monday the 19th.

Card charge still showing pending. Has since Sunday the 18th.

And for those who don't recall; ordered matte black 128 GB unlocked phone from Apple web site on Wednesday Sept 14. Paid full price for phone. Initially (and still) says to be delivered between Oct 7-Oct 13.

Not sure. I was about to do that with my husbands number.
 
This check does not apply if you reserve to pick up via the upgrade link earlier in this post. You can select from what's available, pick a time, and go to the store then. They will scan your code for the reservation and tell them you just want to pay full price. They will get your phone, you will pay for it, and leave. I've done this three times already selecting various carriers. I highly recommend getting a Verizon or Sprint as you can use them on any carrier. T-Mo and AT&T will not work on Sprint and Verizon.


It says the service is not available.

My delivery date is Sept 27th and it is still in the processing item state. After reading countless threads, I am beginning to believe that maybe Apple had found an manufacture error and is fixing it so they are pulling back phones and sending out new ones. Trying to keep myself positive her =D

TAKE MY MONEY APPLE!!!! TAKE IT!!!!
 
I would've done the same but they won't even let me cancel my order and it's still in processing mode.
I had to cancel the whole order, not just the item.

They're sold out of them again. I wonder if I got the only one.

I reserved and picked one up yesterday. I used the same number to reserve as my preorder and had no issues.
Paid in full when I got there and the phone was not even tied to a phone. She selected something called "customer choice".

When I did a restore from 6s plus the new phone did not auto activate with ATT. I popped out 6s plus sim and out in 7 plus. Worked like a champ. Even ATT website shows my device as 7 plus now.

I cancelled my preorder when I was walking out of Apple Store.

iPhone 7+ Matte Black 128GB ATT, 9/9 @ 5:36AM CST

Canceled my order today. Got an ATT matte black 128 7+. Walked in the Apple Store and walked out. Easy peasy
