I posted this in the other 10/4-10/10 thread but nobody read it it appears:

I realize these aren't the exact same scenarios, but I'll share anyway....I ordered the iPhone 6 Plus space grey on 10/1/14, 3-4 week ship date, delivers Oct 30 - Nov 6. I didn't get any action until 10/24/14 when I got the shipping email. I received the phone on October 30, 2014, which was the soonest date they said I would get it when I first ordered. Suffice to say, I'm not expecting my 7+ 128gb matte black until October. And yes, I realize the above order wasn't a preorder like we have all have done here with the 7.

(Of course I still go through my routine of checking UPS FEDEX CC Apple app etc every 1/2 hour cuz I'm a stinky loser)
But then why are others with our same delivery date getting theirs already??

Like I said, they aren't the exact same scenarios. But think about it....do you really think we'll get them before 10/4 when we are still in processing?

Welcome to the darkest pits of processing hell

Sucks because i could pick up the device i want but for any other provider but mine. I'm buying the phone unlocked but can't seem to do so because of the verification thing they have before ordering.

Yet if you select T-mobile, there's no checking, you just buy the phone no account needed. I think that's why they're exhausted.

This check does not apply if you reserve to pick up via the upgrade link earlier in this post. You can select from what's available, pick a time, and go to the store then. They will scan your code for the reservation and tell them you just want to pay full price. They will get your phone, you will pay for it, and leave. I've done this three times already selecting various carriers. I highly recommend getting a Verizon or Sprint as you can use them on any carrier. T-Mo and AT&T will not work on Sprint and Verizon.

I am fully prepared to wait until the dates originally provided by Apple. What would bother me is if there are orders placed after mine that ship before mine or if the same phone is found in store before mine ships. If so, then what's the point of the preorder?

This is already happening. In the other thread Ive seen a couple of people who even ordered after me getting their phones shipped.

I just asked my IT Dept to order a 7+, so I guess it will arrive when it feels like arriving?

Well, hey, I had the October 4 - 10th shipping, ordered about 12:30am PT launch day (Apple's site not working well). No change, used istocknow.com at 1:05pm today to find the EXACT model I wanted (AT&T iPhone 7 Plus, Black, 128GB) in store 10 minutes from me. Made the reservation, and had the phone 25 minutes later. The purchasing process took under 60 seconds. I then cancelled my online order (so hey - someone will get an online order a little faster!).

All the while, there was a huge line out the door of Apple of people trying to get one.

All the while my order never moved from processing.

All the while people here are still waiting.

I'm glad I got my iPhone, but quite frankly the way Apple handled this is a TOTAL MESS. It's just BS, and it's embarrassing.

Good for you. I'm constantly looking online for an in store one, but haven't found the configuration I'm looking for. If I find it I'll definitely get it. I suspect almost everyone on here who has a store nearby is doing the same. My grievance is not with folks doing everything they can to get it as soon as possible. But rather with apple's pre-order system.

I was able to find the same phone i ordered at a local Apple store today. Took about 15 minutes. I cancelled my online order when i was walking out.

i had ordered an 7+ Matte Black 128GB ATT.

There were a lot of people picking up phones when i was in there. Plus' too. Most looked like rose gold or gold Plus'.

Matte Black 7+ 128gb AT&T 9/9 XX:15.

My order bumped from 10/4-10/10 2-3 weeks to 9/30-10/6 2-3 weeks, then slipped back to 10/4-10/10 the next day.

My card was charged on 9/17 and went from Processing to PFS. The next day on 9/18 it went back to Processing and hasn't moved since.

[doublepost=1474465295][/doublepost]wow. I just checked my bank account and the charge went from posted back to pending... wtf is happening? It's as if they're reversing my order step by step...
Wow weird.

I'm happy for you, but I don't think they should be in stores if people who preordered still haven't received theirs.

I'd rather go to Chicago right now to buy my phone than waiting at home like hell! (I'm in Indiana)
I can barely do anything these days. Just don't have the right mood.

I agree with you. Hopefully yours will ship soon since you were about 30 minutes ahead of me.

I figured I at least tried to pre order and was going to get a phone before someone who just waltzed in to a store. Apple should direct all phones to pre orders and have nothing in store or carrier's stores. Apple would not do that though since they want the phones being sold in the store to make the launch look successful. This has been a total mess. Worse than all of the pre orders I've done. I've done every year since the iphone 4.

Ordered via Apple dot com 7 128 jb with a confirmation at xx:23 still in processing. I see on the other 10/4-10/10 thread that people who ordered the same phone at about the same time have already gotten shipping notices while I'm stuck here with you all. I'm T-mobile and it seems like all other carriers are getting taken care of first. I'm being as patient as possible but it really aggravates me to see others that ordered after me with their phones in hand or on the way already.

Welcome to the club, I brought cookies.

Tried to grab my same configuration at 12:01, got nothing. Literally every store in NJ are sold out of the Matte Black iPhone 7+ 128GB from AT&T. The closest one is in Long Island. The flagship NYC stores don't have them in stock either.

Anyone here who got their delivery date bumped up from 10/04-10/10 to 09/30-10/06 by calling apple and still stuck in processing? JB 128 T-Mobile 7+.

There is no reason to focus on the AT&T version. All of them work on AT&T. There are two different flavors which you can see on Apple's tech specs. One only works on GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mo. The other works on both GSM and CDMA networks, Verizon and Sprint. I suggest you get the latter. There has been Sprint Black Matte Pluses in Manhattan in the past few days on the reservation system .
