I'm getting an iPhone tomorrow and I would love to hear about other people's experience so far. I just got an iPod touch because I thought it would be a decent substitute, at least until Rogers got their act together, but instead every time I use it I'm slightly disappointed because while it's cool, it's not a iPhone.
My current plan with Rogers includes 5 MB of data and I will increase that to 10, but I was wondering what average monthly data rates are for current owners?
Also, I hear that if you update the firmware from v. 1.0.2 the phone will re-lock. What about iTunes? I'm currently using 7.4.2, is that safe? And how does the WiFi work? Since internet on my iPod is only available via WiFi I need to be in range of a signal, but what happens on the iPhone when you're using WiFi and lose the signal? Does it automatically switch to the Rogers network or are you able to prevent it?
Anyone receiving $500 bills like I've been hearing about??

I have the $10 MB data plan, and watch my usage constantly. Let's just put it this way, only unlimited data plans will make the iPhone truly useful.

I haven't gotten my first bill yet. So we'll see.

The one problem I've noticed is that if I use WiFi, the phone loses EDGE connectivity till I power off and on the phone. Weird.

I am an [unlocked] iPhone user in Vancouver using Rogers.

Is it just me or does the iPhone NOT notify you when you receive voice mail?

I don't like that...

Works fine for me in Winnipeg. Visual VM obviously doesn't, but I get a notification for regular VM.
