LBP is amazing, no disputing that, and MM is an absolutely great company that has done everything they can to make this available to the customers as soon as possible. Sony on the other hand has been nothing but problems, its been one delay after another since the announcement. oh well, nothing to do now but play every level ever made...

You sir are living proof that no matter what a developer does some people can never be satisfied. Get over it, there always will be regional exclusive content and add-ons. Look at Minna No Golf for example, most of its downloadable content is specifically for the Japan region.

Mm did a great job with LBP, give credit where its due, and leave the nitpicking to MRU
Stupidity will always piss me off. Beuracratic red tape for mundane things like character costumes being region locked is pretty high up there on the stupidity meter, especially when theres simply no way for money to be lost through extra liscense fees (since its all owned and made by Sony). Treating us like we're idiots will also piss me off, like what Sony did in the blog post, rewarding us with something we were already going to get? Thats like doing a weeks worth of work and having your boss give you a paycheck for a weeks worth of work and then calling it a gift. And as long as I paid $60 for this game I think Im in my right to complain, they arent running a charity.

It works for me, you need to be using a Japanese account though, it will not work with my US PSN tied account. I doubt having a CC linked to the JPN account matters, but I have that too.
Thats what I did and it didnt work. Although I had to start with a fresh save file, all I did was complete the intro and didnt see the costumes in the popit. I dont have a credit card tied to either account, but I dont see how that would matter.

I understand you paid for your copy(like everyone else) but its FREE content....no matter how you put it or how/when they say it would be provided.

I could understand you being upset over the servers because I was a little gitty to get online with this thing and do some things but on FREE content...I just don't know about that.

You do know that Sony treats the NA territory better than all the others right?

I just got the game two days ago and its everything I thought it would be. The jumping can get annoying sometimes and THIS GAME CAN GET HARD....so much for being a kiddy widdy casual game:)

Bless

Missing a few costumes here and there is not *that* horrible. It might be nice, but we're talking about a costume- albeit with a cool siren, and not 20 super-cool huge Japan only levels. Perhaps in protest you can make your sack boy have an angry face for a while.

Its not about the costumes, its about the stupidity and lack of respect they have for their customers. Are you telling me that if you bought something that came with an item that you wouldnt care if the store gave everybody else the item at checkout but told you that you had to wait 2 weeks even though they still had plenty of items left? And then patronized you by acting like they were doing you a favor despite promising you the item at checkout before you bought it?

Wow.... get over it.

The lag still sucks, i'm working my way through as many tags as a can find, the game just keeps getting better and better.

I also wanted to add a side note about the difficulty, some of the levels are easy, like a 3 year old could play and absolutely slay! AND there is some levels that are... from extreme to impossible difficulty, like these people that made the levels must have super human reaction times. because a normal like myself cannot pass even the first parts.

I am also having a few problems with the servers still

Well I went to Play'N'Trade (new video game store in town) today to pick up a copy of LBP, and after some real cruddy service, I finally got them to explain why they didn't have it, and apperently there is still the stupid drawback issue. I mean you would think they would have some by now.

So I head over to Best Buy, and they literally had 5 this morning, but they JUST NOW took them off the shelves. I was soooo mad that I didn't even want to check GameStop. I mean I know some people who swear its at GameStop, but I was just sick of it. I didn't want to drive all the way over to town, just to find that they JUST pulled them all off the shelves.

Damn, why did they have to make such a big gripe over what was wrong with a few arabic songs? Sheesh. What a crappy day.

They shouldn't be pulling games anymore, the final release is out now, and has been for the last week.

LBP rocks.

I finally got a chance to play last night after my son went to bed. I only played through the first 4 or 5 levels, and I haven't tried creating much of anything, but I can tell this is going to be an awesome game the deeper you go. It's got serious legs on it.

If you own a PS3 you really need to get this game, even if you don't think it's your cup of tea. If you don't own a PS3, consider buying one.

Anyone try the Gradius clone? Just search RRR30000 (the creator). It's called LiBiDius.jp but you might need to pick one of his levels, then click his name to get to all of his levels to find it.

I cannot say that i have, is it any good?

Im confused... where do you get the costumes? Is it on the PSN store??

Arrived in post yesterday. Only played it for 30mins last night, but I think it absolutely great. Seems so well thought out and slightly quirky. Love the narration.

As for the costumes, i think you find some in the prize bubbles in the first level The Garden. There probably more but i havent played that much yet.

Usually in the first level of each area there are tons of costumes in a big pile at the beginning. Then there are more hidden ones. And (I think you should know this...) to put them on open the pop-it (square) and click the little sackboy icon.

I think the only place to buy new costumes is in the PSN store. I don't think there is an in-game store.

Well good news and bad news! (and I'm not talking about the servers)

I got the game!

But... when my brother plays on the other controller, we have a blast, until when we try to log my brother off so I can just play, we can't figure out how to do that. I tried turning off the controller, and when I pressed manage players on the start button, nothing happened. Help!
