What I do, hmm a hard question to answer. At the surface, easy:

I work as a Systems Design Engineer working and doing research for Honeywell & Raytheon. Basically I'm developing better target tracking systems for missiles. You know the Laser Missile Defence the U.S. is building? Yeah, that's me. And the Boeing 747 with the giant laser in its nose to shootdown missiles, yeah that's me and my claim to fame. Although my work might be meant for war, I'm sure my work will save thousands of live by tracking those rogue missiles aimed at innocent citizens. I struggle with the morals and ethics of what I do, but ultimately I'm progressing technology. I think:eek:

I work for an indie record label. One of the umpteen jobs I have is tech support, and since we run almost entirely on Macs (we have 5 macs, all pre-G5, a currently dead PC tower and an old Compaq laptop running Ubuntu), I'm the defacto "expert" (some of which is due to the kind folks around here). I also handle the bands, distribution, some promotion, and a lot of the grunt work--I built the heavy duty shelves in the office, to which I asked our retail PR guy "do you think they'll hold?" and he replied "you could put a friggin car up here".

So I spend most of my time staring at a screen. Fun, no? The label I work for is Greyday Records, and we also do Greydawn Records, a DIY imprint/subdistribution company.

I'm a student, but I work part time as a web administrator and tech help guy for an organization/office on campus.

I'm about to be (in one week) a Lender Technical Services Representative at LendingTree. I'll be one of the people that help keep their systems running on the back end and that answer questions and address problems that lenders (i.e., banks) have about using LendingTree's systems.

I design stuff™ and make stuff™. I'm also doing a degree at the Open University. Just for the hell of it.

I remember you mentioning it before — what's the degree in? (If you don't mind me asking  )

I've just started work on my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. My chosen area is RF/Microwave design with a focus on microfabrication/RF chip design stuff, and that's the kind of work I hope do after I graduate. Right now I do electrical design stuff for a local semi-professional theater. Motor controls, remote control, and miscellaneous other fun stuff. I also shoot and edit video and author DVDs for a variety of clients.

I'm a Hydraulic Engineer... I design hydraulic structures like dams and weirs and gates and spillways and stilling basins... pretty much anything that can be used to help your house not float away! :)

I am currently working as a Web Support Technician for a mortgage company in Colorado. Brokers (think of ill-behaved small children with cash - and the mentality of a used car salesman) call my phone saying "I want to lock a loan on your website, but there's this button that says 'click here to continue' that I can't get past. What should I do?"

However, I hope to open and manage my own hookah bar within the next four months. Target date for open doors is Jan 1, 2007. :)

I'm a technology teacher. I have classes with elementary, middle and high school students. It's fun, but it'd be better if the school had macs!

Commercial Application Software Engineer Senior

Although I don't speak spanish so I don't know why everyone calls me senior.
