"Data Conversion Operator" for the USPS.

That means that I hand-key the mail that the computer mail sorters can't read. Those plants send an image of the mail to us, and we type the info it asks for.

Probably the most boring job ever, but I'm just sitting in front of a computer and listening to my ipod 6 hours a day.

I do that part time, and am a full time student at ASU studying history and french.

I'm a "CDT" for Sizzling Platter LLC. That is a "Certified Designated Trainer". We cover training for all of SPLLC's franchises, which is as follows; Red Robin, Ruby River Steakhouse, Hoppers, Spaghetti Mama's, Sizzler, and we just acquired Little Ceasars in the state of Utah. I just make sure everyone has been fully trained and I give out random quizzes to check their ability. I spend most of my time grilling at the local Sizzler during the week though. Here is the main web site -> www.splat.com <-. Sounds like the name of some porn site or something...

I am a Package Handler at Fed-Ex, basically the lowest position available but it still pays good with very good benefits. And of course I am a student still in High School, and still getting good grades of course.

I'm currently a stay at home dad.

Before this gig, I worked in the motorcycle industry (as a service manager and as a service technician). I did that for roughly six years. Before that, I was in the Army for 12 years.

In college, I worked for a short time as a sales associate in the men's clothing department at a store. In High School I worked as a dishwasher at a restaurant.

If I had to do it all over again, I probably would have gotten a degree in Computer Science and gone to work for Bill Gates or Steve Jobs.

have two part time jobs: I'm the senior developer at a small boutique web design house, and then in the late afternoon I work as a disc jockey at the local radio station (which is really a pretty cool job I think... I just wish the money was better :) )

I am currently a full-time student majoring in Graphic Design (18 credit hours) at UIC. I am also working the midnight shift at UPS as a Package Sorter (currently ~15 hours/week). I look at the zip code on the label and put it on 1 of 17 conveyor belts about 8000 times a night.

I hate Wednesdays this semester...I work from 10:30pm on Tuesday to ~2:30am Wednesday and get to sleep around 5:00am then need to get up at 6:45am to catch a train to make my 9:00am class. I don't get home until 8:30 at night and have to get an hour of homework in before heading back to work just to have to get up Thursday morning at 6:45 again.

As I type this (11:40am Wed) I have been up since 9:00pm on Tuesday and won't have a chance to get back to sleep until ~4:00am Thursday to get 2 hours of sleep before needing to be up for another 12 hours :( 43 hours awake for 2 hours of sleep :(

My job is going to classes at Phillips Middle School. I spend about a half an hour a day writing for Low End Mac though, here's my latest column.

It pays decently, and I get the honor of working with all the folks at LEM!

I'm a certified software tester for a top-tier computer manufacturer.
Currently working on encryption-based enterprise archive technologies.

I am finishing up my high school career, I am currently without a job. I have applied at several local places, but haven't gotten job yet. This summer, when I can commute to Waco (the nearest largest city from here) I will be able to find something to do. In the Fall I will begin a two year college career in which I suspect after that I will move on and begin working in the computer networking field.

So if this thread is still here in a few years, I will update.

So back in April of 2006 I posted in this thread while I was an un-employed senior in High School. Today I am currently working two jobs and will actually be finishing my degree program in April (major is computer networking and systems administration with a specialization in UNIX). I work part time for Wal-Mart and have for the past year and half doing various different things. In December I started an internship with MailMax Direct (www.mailmaxdirect.com) where I am doing a bit of IT (running data cabling and a little bit of UNIX stuff for now) a lot of data processing (the only way they would justify having me as an intern for the IT stuff would be to put me doing some data processing stuff, not such bad work but not what I want to do the rest of my life) and also a bit of variable data printing. Perhaps when I graduate if I am offered a full time position with better pay I will decide to stick around here.

I'm in the ARMY right now. Stuck in the sand box for the moment :(
My job is 94y. Basically I work on all weapon systems missile and laser acquisition sighting. It's pretty fun. I fix component level circuitry and do basic troubleshooting. The fun part are the class 4 lasers and dewars that I work with though.

Currently enrolled in CTC for an Associates Degree in Computer Sciences and working on cerifications for Mac and Wind(b)lows.

I'm a student (Management & IT) and part-time web journalist (basically copying and pasting relevant articles and occasionally writing a few on my own).

Waco, TX, I remember those days. Lived there for 6 years while attending college and afterwards.

I currently own a Chick-fil-A franchise in my home town and just started working on my MBA. I plan on doing the Chick-fil-A gig for the rest of my life but in case something happens I'll have a BS in engineering and a MBA to fall back on.

Currently enrolled at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Major in Human Resources Management, and a minor in Public Relations.

Sears - Cashier when I am bored

Computer Consultant/Videographer(and editor)/PC repair(and mac but they don't need it)/Web Design, and developer/whatever people will pay me for with computers

^ we own a small company that will pretty much whore ourselves with computers.

In the summer I drive around and install equipment to keep people cool. In the winter I drive around and install equipment to keep people warm. 1 weekend a month I fix equipment on an Air Force base and two weeks a year I go someplace really cool and fix stuff there. While driving around I listen to conservative talk radio and blab on my cell phone with other guys who fix and install stuff. I am realizing to many on here I may be the enemy.

Work my A** off to provide for my wife and 4 kids

Anyway, its fun to come here cause I really like my mac :)

Song projection for churches, like EasyWorship. Done the Mac way ;)

Ditto on the beta tester question somebody else asked. Let me know if that's an option since that's where my time is spent. I'm the audio/visual tech for our church and I also video for our local cable and podcast. Everything we do uses Macs except for one - Easy Worship. It would be great to get rid of the last windows machine in the bunch.

I currently work in the highly specialist field of newspaper and leaflet distribution.

In other words, I'm a paperboy.
