I thought I heard it was coming out in August in the US.

And a really wild rumour said EU will get the new Mario Kart in 2007, Smash Bros in 2008. Whereas US would get Smash in 2007 and MK in 2008. But that's a bit of a LOL I think.

Todays Animal Crossing level looks cool, I wonder if there will be a Animal Crossing playable character? I'm looking forward to seeing something Pikmin-related in the game, too, and confirmation of Captain Falcon, as he's my favourite Melee character.

The more they show stuff like this, the more I'm convinced they're going to go all out with an insane number of characters and arenas. KK Slider as a playable character or assist trophy - just get him in there

They need Andross/Star Wolf, Ridley, King DeDeDe need to be in there as bosses. Oh yes.

Would you guys like to see fighting game characters make a crossover into Smash Bros. or stick with non fighting game characters? Link was in a Soul Calibur game, why not have a Soul Calibur character come to Smash? Or what about Raiden, Scorpion or SubZero, from Mortal Kombat, making a cameo?...or a Street Fighter character? I'm thinking that fighting game characters would dilute the experience of the Smash.

But what about characters like: Simon Belmont from Castlevania, Ryu from Ninja Gaiden, a Contra character, Ogre Battle character, Digimon character, DragonQuest character, etc.? There's really endless possibilities, now, given how Snake is in there. How do you feel about non-Nintendo characters being in Smash? Would you rather the focus be on Nintendo franchise characters or do you like the addition of Non-Nintendo characters?

I think Paper Mario versions of Mario characters would be kind of cool...but they wouldn't really fit into 3D, would they?

I think they should just have iconic videogame figure, not saying fighting game characters aren't iconic, but I don't think it would fit well to see someone like Sub-Zero (please no MK characters, that would be a disgrace). I see Smash as a mash up of non-fighting game characters.

I don't mind non-Nintendo characters, but I hope they get some good ones, Legendary ones. If we have Snake, I want to see Sonic, Megaman, Ryu (ninja gaiden). Not just other chracters to fill in space.

I really don't want Sonic in this game. It would ruin the feel of it, imo.
A lot of people do want him in it, though.

What's wrong with Sonic? Would you rather have Shadow the Hedgehog in the game? I'm thinking there may be a/some Namco characters in there as well.
