Can you bring up the map anytime in the maze using the start button (+ or - I'm not sure)? That might have saved me a lot of time so far since I was only aware of the map at the save points and kept going back to figure out where to go next.

Yea I just press start on the wavebird. Man, you could've just tried pressing one of those buttons, it would be a bitch without the map.

I have a pretty good memory for stuff I see so I was usually able to figure out where I was headed from one of the 4 major save points. As I said, I've only got the 4 markers on the screen left plus whatever comes after that (if anything). I usually don't try the other buttons unless I'm really stuck and not having fun, and last night was a lot of fun. I usually use the home button to pause when the kids cry so the (+/-) buttons, while there, usually don't concern me too much.

I've got one marker in the upper right corner left, and then I can zip to 3 in the middle since there's a nice link from one of the save points to the ice climbers level...well only about 7 more hours before I can play...

So, how do you beat Tabuu?
:mad::mad:

Put together a party with good arial attacks. I found Ike, Marth, Samus, Falco, Meta Knight and Sonic worked for me since most of them have a really good Up+B attack that can score multiple hits. One of the big keys was when the big face comes up and shoots lasers out of the eyes, you can stand at the very edge of the platform and pummel with impunity since the lasers won't hit you if you're close enough to the edge. Bats, fans, lightswords and the like all come in handy too. It was a grueling battle, and it took me a long time but eventually I managed to take out Tabuu within 3-4 characters.

I probably would have been done sooner if I hadn't had Sonic since I didn't have much experience with him, Pitt, or anyone else with a good multi-hit arial attack might have been a better choice. YMMV since your levels of experience with different characters will be different than mine.

Tips for Tabuu. We used Donkey Kong, Bowser, Mario, Snake, Link, a few others I think. Also, stickers. My friend was talking about stickers and he says they can increase your abilities under adventure mode. I haven't used them myself, but I can see how it could be used to help. :) :D

use charzard's rock smash on tabuu. Also, lots of stickers and captain falcon's knee works well.

You can kill alot of the other bosses with zelda's fair in like 6 or 7 hits.

Try using her. It helps alot.

Yay i finally did it, Meta night was the main reason and charzard's attack was great, and to be honest playing with one player was easier than two.
Thanks :D

I'm surprised all the anti wiimote/nunchuk talk. I actually prefer it over the 'cube controller.

Of course I don't play it for hours at a time, so I'm okay with being "mediocre" with the wiimote/nunchuk controller. :)

Any tips on how to beat the Dragoon event on hard? For the life of me I can't beat those Warios with the pink puffy. :)

Watching that match is why I've sworn off playing online. Heh.

I'm good enough to beat people I know, but I would *never* stack up against you or your buddy.

That's just insane, but fun to watch. ;)

Spend a day or two playing with us and you will be able to. It's all about practicing against people equal to or better than you. I sought out some local pro tourney players to kick my butt so I could learn.

New video!

These are all about a week old. I'll be putting up another one with me as Diddy Kong tonight. I've actually developed some new strategies over the weekend- I had about a dozen people over to play. The more people I play against the more strategies I develop :)

Is there anything after Tabbu??? I've defeated it but only got like 84% complete of the game... in fact, some stages have green flags and others don't, and I've returned to the ones that don't with no luck to find anything else. Help?
Also, I only have 20 events, even though I've completed all of them. Where are my other 21 =/

You have to unlock ALL the hidden characters in order to get the next 20 events, after you beat those 20 you unlock the 41th.

One more video! This is beautiful. :) Very short but one of the best kills I've ever pulled off.

You need to go back to the levels with the green flags and find all t you finished the stage but didn't find everything.

You have to unlock ALL the hidden characters in order to get the next 20 events, after you beat those 20 you unlock the 41th.

And you get All-star mode when you get all the hidden characters, and boss battle after finishing Classic and Subspace Emissary.

Uh... so not the ones with that kind of "danger" symbol I must return to... but the green flagged ones. I will try that.

I'm only missing one caracter now, that's Wolf. Should get him in a few minutes at boss battles :D

Thanks a lot

Yeah, it's green flags and crowns... crowns indicate that everything was collected. I still need to finish up a bunch of stages, but I'm working on Events now... there's just too much stuff in this game... never know what to do when I manage to find time to play.

Good luck with that. You don't get to continue in Boss Battles. I tried it more than a few times with Falco and only made it about 3-4 bosses in (trying to conserve the heart containers though which might have gotten me 1-3 more bosses). You're better off finding the door in SSE to get him.

Really, I flew through the boss battles. Did you know there were Max. Hearts at the "transport" point if you just jump over the "warp" thingy?

What difficulty did you use? and who were you using? I was trying to do it on Normal with Falco or Fox to unlock Wolf. Neither is my favorite character.

Of course I've never claimed to be any good.

Beat boss battles on intense today! :) Gotta love Charizard's rock smash. :D

Wolf is pretty easy to unlock, just beat SSE (time consuming), then breeze through boss battle mode with fox on easy.

Edit: If anyone wants some general boss strategies + how to spot moves and avoid them to beat intense, I can post them.
