Well, I can't wait to be among those who will pwn you! :D

And how do you know who you can or cannot beat if you never face them in battle?

Oh, I actually do play against them. Then realize the folly of it ten seconds into the fight
and bring it :)

I picked up the game today. It's a lot of fun of course. I played it with my brothers in multiplayer for a bit. Then I decided to do the Adventure mode... I was thinking it would be like the Adventure mode in Melee... you know, battle, walk around... be done in 15 minutes... right?

Wrong. Try 6-7 hours! It just keeps going! And don't get me started on the whole maze thing at the end... oye. The cut scenes were entertaining, and the new characters are very nice, I just didn't like the maze section... but then again I think I've been playing too long and my hands hurt. :p

Well at least I think I have most of the goodies I wanted unlocked, no need to go through that hellish maze again. ;) Very fun game though, I'm looking forward to playing it online/locally with some friends. :D

EDIT: I just beat the first 20 events......and no more appear! WTF, only 20 events? That is my favourite single player mode and then only did 20!?????

Can you unlock all 36 characters just by playing through the Subspace Emissary? I love all the cutscenes, i just want to watch them all in a row so it's like a movie.

I'm starting to feel like some of the little "things to do" got cut in favor of Subspace Emissary :( Only 20 events? Wow.

Melee had 50 Events...it also had a different Break the Target stage for each character. There's a LOT less Break the Targets stages now, just a few ones that are universal for every character. Plus, Classic mode feels so trite...Master Hand is IDENTICAL to the old one, no new moves!

This makes me sad. Regardless, it's worth it for the VASTLY-improved adventure mode.

Also, if there is only 20 events, IIRC there should be at least 20 more co-op events, right?

SILLY ME! There are 41 events! I just had to unlock some more characters so that i could battle them in event mode. Still 10 less than melee....but there are still 31 co-op events in total :)

Playing through it unlocks most of the characters, however some - like Toon Link - weren't unlocked after completing it. Also Wolf and Jigglypuff weren't unlocked. But I think everyone else was.

I think I'm goin to play through it all even through it gets boring. The cutscenes liven it up a bit. I'm at like %40 ugh... Anyone know if there are multiple routes in SSE or is it once you're done it's at 100%?

Once you get to 100% you're done, there are no shortcuts or anything. Yes, it's a grueling process, and the big maze towards the end doesn't help it at all. I took a photo of the maze screen just for reference, it won't really help since you have to go through all the rooms anyway, but in the end you have to return to the small center room (which is yellow on the map) for the final battle. Good luck. :) :D

I'm loving SSE. It's not exactly the pinnacle of platforming or anything, but it's fun and reminiscent of classic platformers- I really enjoy it. Even though Galaxy was the better experience I'm finding myself not wanting to put down the controller and get to the next part on SSE than I was on Galaxy.

The cutscenes are just great. It starts out pretty slow but as soon as Dedede showed up everything became awesome. :)

I think you can find Toon Link in one of the doors somewhere.

Jigglypuff...in Melee and the original she was a Classic Mode unlockable. Wonder if that still holds true?

Well I went in every room and he wasn't to be found. I unlocked him by using Link as my character and completing Classic mode, it works on any difficulty. :)

any way to beat the maze faster? i was playing it for 2 hours strait(just that one level) and gave up.. im no good at puzzles...

As far as I know there is no way to bypass the maze. You just have to complete the whole thing. It took me about 7 hours or so to complete the whole Adventure mode, good luck. My hands still ache from that horrid maze. :p

After beating SSE, you don't have to beat Classic as Link to unlock Toon Link. It happened to me when I beat Classic with Sonic. So I think it can be any character. Not sure if difficulty plays a part, but I had played on Normal.

maybe its just me, but I can't figure out how to use the Final Smash attack? I can get the Final Smash and glow, but I can't do activate it!! What buttons do you press for it?(Gamecube controller)

Took me a while to figure it out too. Just press B if you're using the Gamecube controller, but I think you have to actually hold it down for a second or two. Works fine for me. :)

Beat SSE and unlocked all of the characters. Dang that last level was mean  But this game is EPIC.
