So today was not that day....
But I remain skeptical about a release at WWDC. Unless this is a full MBP overhaul w/ new enclosure, the MBP will be updated before WWDC.
Yesterday I took your prediction as fact. I really hope for a new enclosure almost more than anything else.
I'm sure MacRumorsLive.com will have a live text feed.
Updated every 10 minutes with (only) copy/pasted excerpts from other websites.
So that's almost useless. I want to see it, not read about it 😎
Anyone notice, by the way, how many refurb MacBooks and MBP's are in the Apple store all of a sudden? Methinks that could be a sign of updates to come...?
Huh? Have you looked at the new AJAX text feeds? Their pretty good, the page auto updates every minute with two or three items from a reporter in the room.
Not sure what you're referring to, but it's not what I've seen the last couple major announcements.
Today is Santa Rosa release day! Maybe Apple will have an update.
Just wanted to throw my name into the hat of people waiting for Santa Rosa. Actually, I'm just waiting for a MBP refresh of any kind. The things I'm hoping for are a faster GPU, more RAM support (4 GB should be good enough), flash caching, faster optical drive (get rid of those 6x drives and put 8x drives in the whole lineup), and LED-backlit screens (assuming they increase, and not decrease the colour gamut). Anything above that would be a bonus. 🙂
So far CNet reports only modest performance and battery gains over previous laptops.

For now, we think that while the new Centrino platform not a huge leap forward, it's good enough to quickly become the default choice for many consumers.
