FML, Finally unlocked my 3GS and i can't find my feature-phone where i have the simcard i actually want to use on it

If I already have Categories installed on a 3.1.3 3GS, I suppose it would be smart to remove it before I upgrade to 4.0x and jailbreak? Or can anyone suggest the intelligent order of steps to take?

I started to get errors when trying to "reload" in cydia & when adding new repo's. After a few attempts, I gave up & restored my iPhone back to 4.0.1.

I’m not as brave as you guys, especially with the reports of MMS and Facetime not working after. I’m going to wait for applejuiced’s, dhlizard’s and thelatinist’s take on this.

Never done this before

This is my first iphone and i have never jailbroken before. Can I go back to the original state my phone was if i dont like jb? does jb reset all data on the device?

dunno bout facetime as I don't have anyone to facetime but everything elase works..... jailbreak just opens the phone completely to full read/write access and adds cydia

I was just making sure. Im at work and am so tempted to try this but didnt want to lose all my apps and stuff.

Just click restore in itunes.

Holly Crap that was easier than rooting. Now how do I get mywi, sorry first time jailbreaking, but this is way easier

have those who still have MMS and FT done a hard reset of their phone AFTER JB'ing? I did a reset right away, maybe this triggers it?

edit: also I was getting the scrambled green line on reboots and resprings.
