ok how do you put iphone 4 into dfu? I want my ft an mms back an when I turn phone off before I get a chance to do power an home button for 10 secs it's booting the iPhone up and ignoring the dfu steps

1. Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.
2. Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
3. After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

If I jailbreak how do I restore my phone back to normal? If I restore back to normal will my waranty still be voided? Meaning will apple know that I have previously jailbrokem?

EDIT: nevermind I decided to start the dfu as soon as pc beeped that a usb device was uplugged all good

What I did was hold power and home button while connected to itunes and continue holding both buttons until itunes pop up saying your phone is in recovery mode. No need to do DFU.

awfully buggy...mine crashed a few times and went into safe mode. tried to install lockinfo when this happened.

As 9 to 5 would say, Jailbreaking has gone CLOUD! :D

I'm on iPod Touch 2G and it's jailbreaking right now! Excitement! :D

After freezing upon reboot, I restored to jailed version.

I think I will wait until it is working more reliably.

Not sure what to do but I downloaded it, got Cydia installed, rebooted phone and now I'm stuck at the Apple logo.

efff... my download status bar is frozen, waht do i do?

edit: well i was able to exit safari and my phone works, but safari wont load when i try to reopen it

I can ge to the site (both of them actually) and see the slide to jailbreak slider, but it won't slide. Did a hard reset, and cleared all the safari history, cache... etc. but still nothing. Since this is my first (and frightengly so:eek:) time to jailbreak, is it not working because of the overloaded servers?? or???:(
