Ok i've been in three similar situations in the last two years each with various outcomes. Its a very tough call to make. If you really like the girl in question then it will be very hard not to allow it to affect your relationship with your friend. i sort of belive in a policy of " bro's before hoes" but of course this really depends on how good a friend, your friend really is.
The only way to establish the strength of your friendship will be to tell him how you feel. This is what i've done in the past and they've either walked away or stuck by me. It's not nice at the time but it really filters out those friends who you should hold on to.

I'd stick with the friend. You can have friends until your 80 years old. And a school year crush? What? a few months?
As much as I love girls... I'd stick with the friend. :)

i just stopped seeing a girl because i started to like the girl

i hate feeling attached and emotional toward another person -- i have a date tomorrow with someone toward whom i am shallow and superficial ... it's better that way ... no one gets hurt

hate ... no ... just those that i have no emotional interest in ...

i have a date with a girl tomorrow that i have almost nothing in common with, but she's hot, and probably good in bed

Yeah, good point. As a matter of fact, I'm getting a bit attached to this Mac, I'd better sell it and get a Windows PC.

Ohhhh... I get it...

You would rather get slapped across the face 500 times instead of settleing down... o, ok. That makes a lot of since.

This method of dating makes sense to some people, a few too many in my opinion. That said, I have often wondered about this 'method' or approach to dating, many aspects of it are intriguing, although arguably shallow and immoral. However with morals being personally different, it may or may not effect one versus another :p

I wouldn't mind having a few less-than-involved relations on the side, but eventually I'm confident I would start to long for the deeper parts of the relationship.

Ok... so its offical. Julia knows that I like her for sure... now the question is... does she like me back?

So how is it official? Did you tell her yourself or did you simply receive confirmation from her friend that she told her?

I am curious to find out the true answer!

Haha :p

I would consider that directly telling her, unless he wrote on someone else's face when they were sleeping or drugged, then it doesn't count ;)
