Congrats Jakub, it does seem to be random the order he is sending them out in, I ordered on the 24th of June so shouldn't be long until mine arrives!

Just got notice from paypal that my 164 pounds from 24 june will be refunded. Really bad business from ohmac.

I just took delivery of my phone at work, its in working order but I will have to thoroughly test it later, right off the bat a side by side comparison with my Launch day phone shows the screen to be slightly brighter but my launch day model definitly displays a deeper shade of back. Thanks Straff, I would strongly recommend calling them if you are just waiting for your phone. Im 100% sure that if I did not call them that no one would have ever informed me about why my order was delayed and maybe a month or two from now I would have been given a refund. My guess is that they do not have stock for new orders but that they do have some allocated to people who ordered prior to July 1st.

Call Phil and ask him about your order. If there is a problem he will help you sort it. If he offers you a refund just politely decline. He wasnt pushing it as hard as I thought he would. Also make sure that you tell him that you are happy to recieve it locked to O2.

If you have not contacted him about your order by telephone and you have not heard anything then I would be willing to bet that you will be waiting a very long time for nothing. Call him, he is a decent guy. You have nothing to lose.

Regards,

Jakub

Here's something for anybody else with an Ohmac handset that is interested in a "pukka" O2 contract.

One of my pals that got an Ohmac handset was an existing Orange customer. He tried an X-Sim in the handset, but it didn't work properly and lost the signal etc after a day or two.

He was outwith his contract period with Orange, so I suggested he get his PAC code from them and then speak to O2 and ask them if he was not needing a handset, which they would have to subsidise, was there anything they could do for him.

He did this yesterday, and they have given him their £35 per month iPhone contract for £20! (600mins, 200 texts & data included)

Not sure if he had to sign up for 12 months or something, but even so it seems a pretty good deal to me.

:)
