according to gamesonsmash it says to hold alt and click restore... I do that but gives me an option of cancel, back up before restore, or just restore without backup. It does not give me the option to select the ios4 file on my desktop..:confused:

You don't press alt you press shift and restore

I know this is unrelated as I was just commenting on the restore server thing... BUT for my issue where the iphone was syncing for an extremely long time, I just left it there untouched and it eventually finished... almost an hour... sheesh that be be a one time thing.. now off to vacation (had to get that last sync in).

Mine did this too. I thought maybe it had something to do with the fact I was jailbreaking os 4 but now it works perfectly.

I do on 3G and apparently I am the only one that has costant lag and app crashing issues. I will put the 3.1.3 when I'll give it to my father as I'll get an iPhone 4.

It was real sluggish on my 3G. I downgraded to 3.1.3. Considering that the 3G doesn't get any of the fun new features like multitasking or wallpapers or other stuff, theres really no point to upgrade other than app compatibility.

Agree.

(apparently I am not the only one)

I had it on my 3G but I sold that to finance the 4 (got $250 on eBay!). It was jailbroken to run multi-tasking, home wallpapers and the gas gauge battery percentage. Once I got all my pages of apps to two because of folders it ran very smoothly. I find the springboard is the biggest resource hog on older devices.

Have been using it for a few days. Agree with the decrease in battery life. Going to drain in, recharge it and hopefully it recalibrates. Folders are great, went from 7 screens to 3. Multitasking will be great once apps are updated to the new software.

Only real issue I have is my iphone will not work with my integrated car stereo. No issue before but after the update I get the message accessory not compatible with iphone:(. Not sure what to do there.

I've had it for several days now, and I love it! I had to get used to a couple of things, but it's great on my 3GS.

And I was worried, but it works just fine with my car kit. I have the PA15-TOY adapter from USA-Spec, and there's no problem. It throws up the same "not compatible" message that I've gotten since I installed it, but all the features work once I dismiss the message.

Installed it earlier today on my 3G. Folders seems to about the only new feature worth anything to me. Speed seems a tad slower. One question - what is with the new Game Center icon? I wasn't expecting that one. Any way to delete it?

It's always given me that message with my Pioneer. It used to say "turn off? Yes or No." Now it just has a large dismiss button which I'm glad for.

Nope. That's Apple's version of Plus+, etc. Expect to see it take over in the future.
