Happy with your purchase?
Yes. I was most excited for the new screen coating and it looks well. I bought as well an old 3g to use as my US phone now so I don't need to swap sims all the time and I can have two active numbers, so that's a big part of this purchase.

where are you?

And pics or it didn't happen. lol
I am in Zuerich. I would take pictures but I didn't bring a camera; I'm just going to a meeting which lasts pretty much all day... hopefully when it is done I take photos. However the person in front of me now on the train has hair very greasy, maybe it could work like a mirror for images?

Ok, so I went out and about around North Columbus Ohio.

Sawmill AT&T Store: Dead
Polaris AT&T Store: 1 guy sitting in his truck
Easton Apple Store: Dead... But there were 3 employees in the store working.

I think most people who wanted it, got it via pre order this time.

I'm in Omaha, Nebraska and will be going to an AT&T store at 6 am with a buddy of mine, hopefully there won't be anyone there haha ;)

I wonder if some people think that Apple is holding individual iPHone for those that "Reserved" them

Nap Time

I live in San Jose and I'm taking a nap right now and going to drive to SF at 3am to wait in line. The Apple store off of 19th in SF had tons of iPhones last year and I was able to get a 3G iPhone at 5:30pm.

I'll post a pic at 4am when I get there.

huh

Why would anyone wait hours in line so early in the morning when they could've ordered online with FREE SHIPPING and had it the same day?

Why would someone waste the time to post a question which they didnt care what the response was. oh wait I just did

Are you crazy? There is going to be plenty of inventory in the South Bay. Why don't you go to one of the three locations we have down here or one of the other two in Palo Alto?

Have not pre-ordered

Should I go to the local ATT store @ 7am or would I have a better chance if I drove the 45 minutes to the Apple store at 7am?

In the fine print of the email it says first come first serve basis. AT&T did pre-orders differently.

You're right, I didn't see that part. I just read the white section. That's effin stupid. I'm sure they will have a lot, but what's the point of reserving.....Damn, I gotta wake up early now. I was debating of just leaving tomorrow around 9-10am and show up and wait in line. I guess I'll wake up around 5:30 and show up around 6-630.

You have a waaaay better chance at an Apple store. I went to an AT&T store last year at 6am and I was 50th in line and they didn't have enough in stock. The crappy part was that they made everyone in line think they had tons of iPhones so they could get you inside their store to order one to be shipped.

AT&T store was a waste of time b/c I drove to SF Apple store (45 mins away) and ended up getting a 3G iPhone in the afternoon.

My final advice...go to any Apple stores and wait in line early. Lines are most likely going to start forming right now and the majority of people are going to show up an hour early. Plan ahead and best of luck.

Depends on where you live, the Apple store WILL have more inventory than most AT&T stores. Also note that the AT&T store only opens for pre-orders at 7AM, you will be waiting till 8AM to start moving through the line.

I lucked out last year getting to the AT&T store at 5 minutes till 8 (bought the VERY last 16GB Black 3G), but now I'm not sure how much of the AT&T quantities are being taken by Pre-orders that went to the stores last year.

If you can go past the AT&T store first to see how big the line is, then if its really long you can drive to the Apple store and more than likely get one.

I camped out last year. It was lots of fun but I dont think that there will be a high demand this year where I live. I plan on going around 8am and if I see a line then I will wait a week or so.
