Nah I'm good. The girl I asked out's old boyfriend cheated on her, and that's why they broke up. I wouldn't dream of doing that to her, but at least I have a backup! ;)

Sir, there is a difference between going on a date, and dating. There is nothing morally reprehensible about going on a single date with one girl when you are interested in/have asked out another girl. Unless, of course, the date consists of more than, say, dinner or a movie or some other public activity, in which case you are obliged to cancel the other date in good faith.

Although it depends on your age group, sir. In high school a single date is considered to be a stronger commitment. I am assuming you asked the first girl out on a date, and not to be your girlfriend. Forgive me if I have been presumptuous, sir.

If you do this, I guarantee you'll end up slapped, have a drink thrown in your lap, and a possible tire slashing.

Girls are vengeful, angry creatures. I should know, I am one. :D

The only polyamorous person I have ever met was a girl, interestingly enough. She has two husbands and a child, and they all seem remarkably happy, and the kid is the most well behaved, well adjusted child I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Well, I wasn't really specific, but I guess I meant just one date.

I've been friends with both girls for a while, but I like the one I asked out a little more, because she's totally hot, and totally an awesome person. The other girl is more like someone I'd just rather be friends with. I'm not really attracted to her, I just feel bad, because I think she really likes me, based on the flirtatious emails I'm getting from her.

Oh poo. Just when I thought things couldn't get any crazier. I now have another girl from school flirting with me over Facebook.

What's happened all of a sudden? Hold on, I think I need to splash some water over myself to wake up. I think I might be dreaming, or hallucinating, or something.

which ones hotter nd more dateable. and it would be a great idea to get off the crack

I'd have to say the first girl, definitely. That's why I asked her out instead of the girl who keeps sending me flirtatious emails. I think the flirty girl is too desperate.

No problem, I can't afford it anyway. :)

Perhaps you could use this new found confidence to ask out any other potential girls in the interim?

This is crazy. There's this girl at school who's totally hot, and totally an awesome person (those two don't always go together, as I have found out). She's like the girl who every guy in the school wants to go out with. Well, I just asked her out and she didn't reject me.

Firstly, I'm amazed that I was able to ask a girl out without the help of my friends here on MR, but also the fact that a computer nerd was able to ask the coolest girl in school out on a date, and not get totally shot down is amazing!

In other news, the universe has collapsed!

Edit: I should add that while she didn't say "yes", it seems like she's thinking it.

like in that cartoon with Bill n Steve "Macs get ya laid" haha

hey Graham,

you're 17 years old right? take it easy. if you take this date too seriously you won't enjoy it. and the girl will not be too comfortable either.

Damn this thread makes me angry- It's not anyones fault but I had my heart broken over the weekend (At a church camp to make it worse!?) and I'm feeling really down now. Everyone tells me there's more fish in the ocean but damn it's kinda hard to catch fish :p

Confidence and a sense of humour = the best fishing bait there is, sir.

You guys at macrumors are so helpful and supportive :D

If I may, sir, I think most people classically underestimate themselves and overestimate the importance of the social situation. This is more true amongst "nerds" as they tend to be a meeker on the whole as a subculture.

got any lines practiced???/ haha. nah actually i would advise against that. just go as it comes naturally.

and please, post pictures ;) evefn rom a yearbook or sumthing
