I have never had anyone ask to see my phone other than family members who knew I was buying it and wanted me to show them "what this phone does that my old one couldn't". They thoroughly enjoy giving me crap about upgrading my iPhones.

Wow... this definitely remembers me about the time when I was living with my parents.. I understand you man, trust me :-D

There was a big photo of me in a magazine being mobbed by about two dozen Japanese school girls seeking a look at my iPhone 3G when it came out. Sort of fun.

With the iphone 4, I experienced this.

With the 5, most people do not realise its a 5 and not a 4, so do not really care.

If I go fishing for attention I am sure i could get more, on a daily basis, the hype since launch seems to have died and its back to normal.

Maybe your getting alot more attention cause alot of younger people consider the phone they have as a must have fashion accessory, while us old farts use it for more practical purposes.

Anyone still getting this a lot lately? Even thought the iP5 has been out for over a week? When I take my iPhone out in college just to use it, atleast 3-5 people want to touch it and hold it. Gotten to the point where I have to hide my phone to use it.

Ahh gotta love these people also. The "I dont give a **** about the new iPhone 5, it's just longer.. people" When I take it out, "Can I see it??!?!?!" (Guess people can't stand the beauty of the iPhone 5 =D)

Just a fun rant =)
Feel free to share your experiences also!

You are traveling with a different group of people than I as not one has said anything about my phone nor do I expect them to notice. I also do not hand my phone to "others" as if they drop it . . . . . . .:(

I only notice if its a 5 if it has no case and I can see the thinness. Otherwise, the 5 kind of blends in with the 4/4S. The taller screen is obvious though, closer up.
