I just got home and opened my new MBP, my 1st ever Apple Product.

I wanted to post this because I saw alot of negative comments (mostly because it's mainly the people with problems who post), and it nearly put me off buying - Don't be, just buy and enjoy.

The new MBP 2.8GHz - No dead pixels, Case Marks / Scratches - PERFECT

This product just oozes build quality and cutting edge design. It rips my old vaio to pieces.

The Screen is stunningly vibrant - I love it and can't wait to watch DVD's on it.

The keyboard and trackpad both feel and function exceptionally.

It is the most beautiful product I have ever seen or felt - One piece aluminium and a lovely glossy black bezel, it's extremely classy.

Power 2.8 GHz / 4GB RAM - Very quick, nice graphics and great for heavy music production

OSX is smooth and well organised.

If you are holding out...don't. It is probably the best thing I have ever bought :)

Meet Apple's newest fanboy :apple: :D

Thanks for the advice - Big Up Macrumors!!

You might want to use it for a while, seems you are sold on the design and specs.

But welcome.

I will go back (Lenovo) after my studies are done.
Too much trouble with my MBPs- got the 4th one allready...

I switched a little under 2 months ago and I'm still in awe with this thing. Easily the best laptop I've ever owned. I'm as paranoid and anal about product perfection as anyone else, but even I am totally satisfied. Yeah, I've got the slanted function keys but I'm never at eye-level with the keyboard to notice (I only knew about it thanks to these forums). The trackpad is so amazing and easily the best feature of the Apple family of laptops.

I've slowly eased myself into the world of Apple. In 2004 I got an iPod mini. In 2006 that was replaced by an 80GB iPod (now called "classic"). Christmas 2007 surprised me with an iPhone. And now my conversion is complete!

Your title lies.

I <3 Microsoft!

I just happen to use a Macbook pro because I like the design and OS X is... Okay ;)

Besides, I get the best of Windows running on a super duper laptop :)

You picked the ugliest lenovo of the bunch, and they really do build an excellent PC. If anyone is going to buy a PC at all, a lenovo thinkpad is a strong choice.

Mine is perfect as well and I agree with you.
In fact, I appreciate it more and more as I continue to use it.
It's the best Apple laptop I have purchased to date (this is my 3rd Apple laptop).

Cheers.

Probably same for me. I have yet to see one mbp that doesn't have any ridiculous issues. I'm betting that a lot of the people who say theirs are perfect simply haven't noticed some flaws here or there, which is excellent for them. After my horrible experience with this mbp It'll be really hard to buy another mac even though I love the OS. Glad you're pleased with your purchase and hope you enjoy it for a long time.

DEFINITELY don't want to interrupt this circle jerk but after years with Powerbooks and MBPs I just picked up an HP HDX18t and will be getting rid of the MBP.

Lol,
what an ugly one- did you have a look at the T61p or the W500?
And I will be totally happy with Windows XP as it outperforms OS X in terms of 3D usage! Thats what I need for my CAD works- MBP are just joky for that. But keep your rose-colored glasses on. Apple just makes PCs they have advantages for some people, other take disadvantages with them!

Same here. Been a Macuser for 19 years (since I was in my late teens) and will be moving on to a Thinkpad.
Too many problems, too many work-arounds and the ditching of anyone not in the lowest common denominator consumer group is the reason why I'm leaving.

I have invested quite a lot of time (money and effort) migrating my workflows and so on, so if my computer dies completely tomorrow (I'm having battery problems and a slew of other weird problems as of late) I won't actually mind, nor will it mean I will have other than a couple of hours of "downtime".
