I have no regrets about purchasing the 32GB ATV. I really don't plan on playing any games on it. I will, however, continue to use it as a media consumption device. And as far as I know, the TV/media apps don't consume a lot of space.

They don't. I have a ton of games and media apps on my 16 gig iPad Air 2 and still have 9 gigs of space remaining. 32GB is way more than enough, especially when you consider Apple is already working on a model for next year.

Yeah i figure next year i relegate the atv4 downstairs when the atv5 is released. I got the price adjustment anyways so I'm good either way.

I bought the 32GB and haven't regretted it yet. Although I haven't really installed that many applications on it yet but with Apples new app thinning feature, I don't think its going to be that much of an issue.

Apple TV 4th gen was one of my favorite Apple purchases in a long while. It came in perfect condition out of box, and it has some great new features.

According to the app I bought, I've used less than 4GB. I think I should be good with the 32 until the next gen. Even then, not sure I'd need more. Apple may have simply wanted an average selling price above what they wanted that entry model to be priced at, so offering two models helped them do that. Not sure.

I think 149 is amazing for iPhone 6 processor, 2gb ram, etc. it's a competent little box.

I went with the 64gb to future-proof the purchase.

I think 32gb would have been fine. I don't think I'm going to download that many apps to the device.

Got the 32gb model. With the small amount of on board storage devs are limited to I feel the next gen AppleTV will be out long before it's an issue.

I boxed mine up to return. It was not that much of a leap compared to the old version. I am going back to the old model until the 4k version comes up.

The hardware is capable of 4K - I guess Apple will release next year a software update to enable it. The gfx processor is the better version of the one in Amazons 4K Fire...

BTW: I went for the 64 Gb version - in my long IT experience I learned one thing: you never have enough space :)

People are going to be upset if all it needed for 4K was a software update and Apple waited

Pretty sure the A8 chip is faster than any of the 4K boxes out there such as Amazon and Roku. For Christ's sake it powers the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. Probably just needs a software update to display in 4K. After all, an A5 powers 1080p and the A8 is three generations faster.

I will be surprised if they offered a software update even though I think the hardware is the same as at least one of the other 2. I.e. Has HDMI 1.4 support. I think they will wait for when they have at least HDMI 2 and some other 4K features in the hardware.

bought the 64gb version and I regret it. just checked recently and i'm only using 4gb of storage. Apps aren't as big as one would think.

Apple has set a limit of initial app download size of 200mb but can download up to an extra 2gb once you launch the app. I would imagine most apps apart from some games would be 200mb or less that's why I didn't bother spending nearly $100 more on the 64gb version.

Well right now I am watching a movie on the Apple TV 3, the same way and quality of the Apple tv 4. I don't regret the return. I will wait it out. I don't like the idea of buying the Apple Tv 4 when allegedly the 5th gen is nearing production.

$199 - $149 = $50. Were you buying 2?

"I bought the 64GB because how I feel that 32GB is not enough. And it will be not enough. Trust me."

"I bought the 32GB because the 64GB is useless. How can anybody even use so much storage on this thing?"

Basically sums up what will be seen in this thread. Quite pointless. :D

Like I mentioned I got the 32gb model, and at this point that seems impossible to fill. However that doesn't take away from the 64gb model. Some update in the future could bring a feature that utilizes the onboard storage a lot more. Besides, it's only 50 bucks.

Since I'm in Australia the price is $348 for 64gb and $268 for 32gb so it's a $80 difference here. I did buy 2 though and I'll get a third this week so that price difference does add up.

Picked up a 32GB yesterday for $10 off at a local furniture/everything store here in Texas. I have had all the previous versions and this one is a great upgrade. The speed alone is a great upgrade. The remote is growing on me but can be finicky.

After downloading all my most frequently used apps, I am not anywhere even close to using up any space. Unless I really start gaming on this thing, 32GB is perfectly fine.
