I believe the stutters that is occurring on the iPhone 6+ is due to having to downscale a 2208x1242 resolution to a 1080p resolution. That takes some processing power instead of displaying at a native resolution like other iPhones.
Pretty much this.
The OP is either blind or straight up being dishonest with his "opinions"
There is not a difference between iPhone 6 Plus and any previous phone on behavior outside of the moment when the screen rotates. (Just because screen rotation was smooth and effortless when it had 4x less resolution is not something to hold against the new tech)
Maybe the illusion of such a tiny screen makes it hard to see the framerate of motions, but they are the same on both phones. Maybe because its so tiny on 5S it gives the illusion its smoother.
People really should stop saying the phone has occasional hiccups. The one thing that is consistent is screen rotation lag which is because of the high resolution.
But that specific moment doesn't represent other things, like swiping, scrolling, opening apps. Those are all perfectly fluid if your phone is running properly. Thats why OP comes across almost as a liar to justify his 5S.
So its misleading to say the phrase "annimations are choppy and things lag" about the product.
Say specifically, the screen lags when rotating the screen from landscape to vertical.
Otherwise it implies that every menu and every event randomly stutters to you which is completely false.
The iPhone 6 Plus is a finished and wonderfully perfect product and the best in class. If you got a 5S it means you don't appreciate technology like the rest of us do. You're messing about on a tiny micro screen and theres nothing cool about that. You're missing out, we don't envy you or think you made a cool decision.
No need to make this thread, we get it, you're different. Every guy that thinks like you has to make a thread like this. Wow special.

It's because the 6+ is underspecced. The constant downscaling causes problems because the hardware is insufficient.
Apple messed up.
Not really, its not messed up because Id rather have this resolution rotate with a slight hesitation than to have a tradeoff somewhere else like battery for example.
My Macbook Pro does THE SAME THING when switching re-loading resolutions. Is a Macbook Pro under specced? They hesitate too. All tech does when messing with high resolutions.
If its so underspecced then why is mine flawless? I can run Real Racing 3 on my projector through the air both processesses at the same time and its smooth.

no issues with my 6+ but my nexus 6 is better
Im sure your nexus can't handle most of the games I play and most of the music apps I use without downscalling and having unusable lag.
For example the Vainglory beta on Android has like 50% of the graphics downscaled on all of them because they decided no Android can run it like it does on iPhone 6 Plus.
So its not even in the same league.
Id gladly take some hesitation when switching to landscape to be able to have the best graphics in the world on a mobile device.
