So what are your thoughts so far after a weekend or so with the OPO 13?
I am so tempted with this phone! But really wish it was offered through Verizon for compatibility.

I’m using it on Verizon right now no problems Everything works perfectly just like all my other phones.

also still very happy with my OnePlus 13. Hardly use my iPhone 16 Pro. Esim in OnePlus 13 is active.

Really hope that the OnePlus 13S (the smaller OnePlus 13) will get a European release in May or June. Instant buy for me :)

Since the OnePlus 7T, OnePlus has fell off and lost of mind share after changing the OS and pricing their phones as if they're flagships...

the OnePlus 13 is a flagship (Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, dual cell 6000Mh Silicon carbon battery and 10bit color display)

But I have to admit, since Carl Pei left the company, the (original) philosophy of OxygenOS also left.
OxygenOS is way too merged with ColorOS now.
I wouldn't buy a OnePlus with ColorOS.

But the cameras in the OnePlus 13 (and 12) are lightyears better than a couple of years ago with OnePlus smartphones.
OnePlus cameras were extremly bad in the beginning, as if the OS was important and the camera(s) not all

This phone is a flagship 100% hangs with all the other ones there is nothing that puts it behind plus like all the other manufacturers they offer phones at better prices with lower specs

This is actually the best phone of the year IMO

I am curious, what's the differentiator that sets it apart from other phones? I looked into ordering one before I got my S25 Ultra but ultimately decided on Samsung

I had the S25 Ultra as well for a couple of weeks. OneUI is an OS for customization addicts ;) with a million possible ways to customize your phone.
Oxygen is buttersmooth with no stutter or hiccups at all, less in your face OS with no bloatware such as the Microsoft apps with OneUI.

If I had to choice with OS, I would go for OxygenOS. For me personally, OneUI is one hell of a busy OS

When I had it the major pro for the OP13 day to day was the AI summarize feature. It appears natively in the side bar (same thing as Samsung utilizes) but works with any browser. I used it often. Samsung's AI summarize only works with Samsung's browser.

It's what a Pixel should IMO, so quick and smooth with plenty of customization without going over the top. The battery is ridiculous and quick charge to 100% in no time. The phone is cool never heats up and handles everything you throw at it

With pretty heavy usage I have to charge every two days, never had this with any of my smartphones before.
And like you said, charging this phone is insanely fast (with the proper cable + adapter ofcourse)

I'm a heavy user and I go to a second day easily, 9 to 10 SOT with everything turned up not even lowering or being careful to preserve. Standby Time sips and if I want to charge like you said with the right wire and brick by the time I come out of the shower I'm at 100%

I have a 1+13, basically replacing my 13 Pro, and I like most everything, save the camera.

The camera is just perplexing to me, like I can take a picture of the moon, handheld, AI zoom, be impressed as I can see craters, but then other times, I get frustrated with how it handles macro or what trees or objects in the distance look like, as in I question if the lenses are decentered.

The AI reflection eraser has been handy a few times. I've also bought ProShot, and according to the developer, because of how Oneplus handles the camera API, it's not as easy to code for their phones.

The rest is what I wish Apple was trying, the big silicon carbon battery, fast charging, better RAM/storage for the price. The screen is really nice too, with the improved HDR modes. Android Auto and Maps are nice, although I miss how colorful CarPlay is.

I have the one plus open and the software is great

Gives Samsung a run for its money as best software on a foldable
Lol

Really? Oh you said that seriously?
Pray tell what OnePlus software is present, what it does and how it gives Samsung's software a run for its money?!@

You don't even have Deskmode out of the bix and the vnc equivalent is only on the N5. Again OnePlus sw not Google.
