Notch or no notch. M1X Mac mini or not. The only thing I'm waiting to hear is how much faster the M1X is going to be. They might be able to claim that it is the fastest notebook ever (Mac or PC). Probably not, however, for graphics.

If Apple has been producing machines these since early August you would hope that's not the case.
You have 14 days to return the device. Why would people who bought Mac’s last week not return their Mac? is there a mass rush for Macs on Mondays?
New job just said purchase the MBP and they'll reimburse me.
It was just a theory. But today, you know... chip shortage and such thing, who knows? Anyway they can do this to keep prices artificially high by producing fewer units.
Oh, BTW: here were I live, it is normal, that you wait weeks for you to get the model you ordered. Especially for the BTO/CTO variants.
Potentially adding the system load of people cancelling pending purchases while preorders are already straining the server could mean it's overwhelmed? If anything it's to generate one more news article and a buzz of hype and maybe a couple more sales as causals will be curious why the store seemingly randomly went down and discover the new devices.
