nope the one in kirkcaldy, its got a huge apple section but I'm not sure it will be up to date. I might drive to Edinburgh if they def have it there though

Auusie store is down to. Um, if I just ordered a MacBook Pro a week ago, and the shipping tracker basically said, "Will send when we have the parts", does that mean I may be lucky and have the chance to update the order so that it's a new MBP?
If not, I have the most rotten luck. I was expecting an April update and decided I needed one before April. But for my first MB anything to be updated a week after purchase, grr!

There's no restocking fee, right? Just opt for a refund, send your order back to Apple within 14 days after receiving it, and get one of the new models!
Actually I'm wondering; might Apple send people that got a pending ('old model') order a new model??

Between the 5 apple stores within 30 minutes and numerous Best Buys, what's the chances of one of them having the 15 matte with a BTO for SSD? I'd like to have it today versus waiting until a Monday delivery via Amazon/etc. I'm guessing they don't set them aside for call-ins?

Oh please tell me that what you say is true! and more so... even if it's a custom build? I got 15" i7, highest processor speed custom built.
I'm really hoping that when I call them and ask them when it will arrive and they have no idea, is really because they're not shipping anything with the express intention to email us with an offer to get the latest...
I'm 100% sure BTO models can be returned cost-free within 14 days. About Apple sending new models already to people that ordered (but not yet received) an old model recently, seems kinda unlikely, but not unfeasible IMO..

I'm pretty sure BTO models are excluded from the 14 day return policy. You can only cancel the order before they have begun to produce the item.
Actually I did just that a couple of weeks ago.. (so at least here in the Netherlands it's allowed)
