Fingerprint sensor + linked apple ID + Passbook and/or low-powered Bluetooth = secure mobile payment system.

No, it could equal that. Like I said, it will take time for an ecosystem to develop around this. Which means that the real value of the feature is not here yet. It is a faster way to enter a password.

64-bit CPU means better performance & battery life from games and CPU-intensive apps like photo/video manipulation. More importantly, with iOS and OS X (which is 64-bit) having so much in common, this will make it easier for devs to have apps that work on both iOS and OS X.

64-bit could mean better battery life and more performance. Now, I have to rewrite my apps to take advantage of it. That will take time. I'm sure we will see a rash of apps that say "Now 64-bit!" but likely not a single line of code will have changed, making it a moot point.

Transitioning to 64-bit is a slow process. It is awesome that Apple is giving up the tools to compile 64-bit out of the gate. In fact,I think the transition to real 64-bit apps will be quicker in mobile than in the PC space. But it will take a long time.

BTW, the iPhone and Mac are built on two different CPU architectures. Having 64-bit CPUs in each is the least significant item in terms of cross platform app compatibility.

M7 - most overlooked new feature. Forget fitness apps and start thinking location services. Combined with background processing in iOS, your phone now has the capability of waking up for very brief periods of time, checking the sensor logs and combining with last known position from GPS to know exactly where you are and how fast you're moving. Not only will this make Maps more responsive, but geo-fencing will now be practical without draining your battery life with constantly polling position with an active CPU.

Yep, it is cool. Again it comes down to ecosystem. The apps need to be there.

My point is simple; these features all have long 'time to value' relative to the expected release date of the iPhone 6. I'm buying an iPhone 5s. My iPhone 4 is a dog. If I could hold out for the 6 I would.

Replying to all.

You guys seem to think the 5s is actually revolutionary. Ill break it down for all of you.

A7-64bit. completely worthless, I upgraded from the 4s to the 5, it was twice as fast but you couldnt notice the speed difference whatsoever. The iphone 5s is going to be more of the same. These phones are fast enough. And please give me one, just one, good reason why 64 bit is neccesary for a smartphone. Please enlighten me.

M7 motion co processor. Just a simple way to save battery life. Its not too usefull other than as a pedometer. Similar to the gs4 internationals 8 core design but much simpler.

Improved Camera/dual flash. Lets be honest here guys, no one wants to use flash. And yes many phones have had dual flash for a while. The camera itself is still not that great, a very minor improvement to the 5. And the burst mode is purely software, the gs4 and htc one have had it for a while. They wont bring it to the 5 because it is a feature.

Last but not least, Touch id. Yes ill give this one to you. A kind of cool, nice feature. Although androids HAVE had this one for years. Again think motorola atria 4g. Also, it could have been great, but apple isnt allowing it to be used in apps and they disabled icloud keychain.

In other words, its set to only function as unlocking your phone, not such a huge deal to put in a four digit passcode once in a while ;)
