Not sure if anyone sorted out the legality of the issue(didn't read every post), but I've read the EULA (the first bit) and it says, unless it has been revised, that OS X can be installed on any Apple labeled computer. So you could put an Apple sticker on any computer and, I'm pretty sure, you wouldn't be violating any aggreement.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, you're wrong. "Apple-labeled" means manufactured by, sold by, or licensed by Apple. The law doesn't like word games (believe it or not).
