Guys. I think I had COVID-19 but obviously I can not prove it since I have no access to tests. Early Feb I had an extremely nasty cough (never in my life had a cough like that that would just not go and felt like my lungs were on fire) Was ill for over a week. I had chills, too many blankets on my bed at night at a very warm temperature and felt like I was in a refrigerator. Started getting better after a week but the cough still remained. After 10 days I visited the NHS walk-in centre complaining about the cough. The doctor listened to my lungs and decided it was a viral inflammation. She gave me some steroids to ease the inflammation, 3 days course. It felt like they did not work on the first 3 days but then after few days cough just went away like it never existed. I did not have difficulties breathing. I will be 51 YO at the end of April. It could have been something else, but the fact that I had guests from Venice just a few days before I got ill makes me very suspicious.

the billionaire talks Coronavirus. 2.6 billion to be exact.
like she is really suffering like the rest of us
meanwhile my local Walmart has been out of canned green beans and 2 liter diet soda for 3 days straight due to hoarding

You know things have NOT gotten bad yet if people are still focusing on stuff like access to soda. Diet or otherwise. 😁

or did I miss the sarcasm? 😶

I really, really care what these celebtards have to say about the pandemic. Voices of reason in tough times. Thanks for your courage!

Also, really appreciate you all singing Imagine for us plebs. So inspiring.

Ah yes, no one I trust more than Oprah to deliver medical advice in a global pandemic
Wouldn't her solution be to use the "SECRET!!!!!" and we all warp the universe into making the virus go away with the power of our positive thoughts??? (she also foisted that quack Dr Oz upon the ignorant masses)

Neither Oprah, Idris, nor Pastor Wintley Phipps had anything to do with the Imagine video.

Also, please explain how Pastor Wintley Phipps is a "celebtard"? Is he some mega-vangelist celebrity pastor I haven't heard of?

I watched the interview, i dont see anything wrong with it. It’s so weird how this virus either wants to completely kill you or put you on a respirator fighting for your life and some people how no symptoms!

My family and I have had one weird illness for awhile now. It comes and goes like the tide. Just when any one of us feels better, we get knocked back, a little harder each time.

My husband and I are both high risk. There’s different reasons I’d like to know exactly what we are dealing with but I’m too worn out to explain. It’s a moot point anyway. No tests.
That's the issue. Unless the government becomes willing to send tests directly to people's homes (let's face it, that's just not how the government does things. They always use "centers" to distribute anything), going out to get tested, especially if you're high-risk, is about the most dangerous thing you can do seeing as how many people will be going through to get tested themselves. High-risk people need to self-quarantine, it's just an unfortunate fact of the situation.

Excellent series. Smart move by Apple to put some reality style programming on the service. It’s nice to connect with familiar faces when stuck at home. Excellent interviews, despite the low tech nature of the setup. I hope this keeps going, it’s nice to get surprise content like this.

I want to highlight an important point about nearly the entire first page of comments. None of those posters bothered to actually watch the show they were commenting on before posting. I think the episode does an excellent job addressing all the concerns about why actors and the wealthy get access to tests. It’s a function of capitalism. Idris Elba was ordered to get testing because he represents a serious investment stake and liability for his production company that is filming in New Mexico. If you don’t like free markets and capitalism I don’t know what to tell you. It is a function of supply and demand - people who are “worth” more (objectively, based on earning power) will get better protection. I hope this isn’t a shock to anyone. This will never change unless America falls to Communism, G-d forbid.

further, only the first episode involved an interview with an actor elite. The second episode is with a medical professional. And Oprah doesn’t offer her own medical advice, she is a conduit to let the interviewee shine.
Ah I was wondering why you were all  on my post. No I didn't watch this. Nor did I denigrate this show. I was just asking a simple question. If I want to watch anything, it will be something fun and unrelated to Covid-19. I'm more into reading right now.

I think it's funny you may think I don't like or appreciate or understand capitalism. There's a whole interesting discussion I dearly wish I could have with you that was behind my question about the celebrity access to testing. But then I would have to divulge more information than I care to on this forum.

Sorry, the voices all blended together at a certain point.

Don’t know or care about this pastor.

That's what you wrote. You are therefore referring to Oprah and her guests.

Pastor Phipps is Oprah's second guest, and therefore also included in your broad statement.

That was said in a separate line. “You all” refers to celebrities in general. Please do try and follow along.

Once again, don’t care about this pastor, homie.

Look at the way that some other countries have implemented it - in South Korea, you roll up in your car, and they collect the test sample through the open car window (with proper protection for the person administering the test). About as little contact as possible, and the personal protective gear of the person giving the test protects you from them, as well as them from you. And, since the test is nowhere near "put your finger <here> to see if you're infected" (it takes some care and specific procedures to properly collect a sample and then it needs to be taken to a lab for testing - and no, mailing it back wouldn't work), it seems reasonable to do it through testing centers. Maybe if our government had been on the ball, and started preparing for this in January, instead of downplaying it and saying it'd go away soon, we'd have proper drive-through testing centers by now.

But in any case, for high-risk people, it's better to stay isolated until you develop substantial symptoms.

You wrote the line in a forum topic about an Oprah show. This is not a forum about the ills of celebrities at large. I assumed you were following the subject of this message posting and the rest of your post. I don't think it's fair to blame Oprah for the ills of her fellow millionaire celebrities, even if that wasn't your overt intent.

Oprah has an Italian doctor on her third episode - talking about how they're dealing with Covid in Italy from a medical perspective. Oh - where did the naysayers run off to? The people who claimed this show would only feature Oprah's celebrity millionaire friends?
