The T&C's are just standard speil, not to be taken seriously really

You see, this is the part of it all I hate more than anything. The fact they can put all sorts of restrictive stuff into their contract, and then tell everyone 'don't worry, its not really that serious, we're not really gonna tell you off if you use youtube, or go a little over the fair usage'.
The fact that its in a contract which we have to legally sign tells me otherwise. Its perfectly serious, and if its not to be taken seriously then don't include it in the contract.
I'm not putting up with customer services telling me to not worry about it, when orange are within all right to do me over with the slightest touch of spotify if they really wanted to.

Its like renting a hotel room out, and it says in the contract signing that you're 'not allowed access to any of the rooms facilities such as the tv, bathroom, phone, room service, windows, drawers etc' and then being told by the hotel manager, 'oh don't worry about that, we don't enforce that, we never tell anyone off for using it, but we put it in our contract anyway so that can legally ruin you if we want to'.

sorry, but that was a rant that really needed to come out. :p

simplicity sim is still the best deal in uk isnt it?

where are all the simplicity users? happy?

correct me if im wrong

My conclusion
- cheapest option is pay go if dont need many mins/texts
- Best value at best price is simplicity = £20 = loads of mins/texts with UNLIMITED WEB, monthly contract

correct?

Well, I am on simplicity and it suits me fine in terms of minutes and texts. 1,200 minutes and 2,400 texts. Saying that my ex wife used 1700 minutes last month and we got a huge bill.
Why would I stay with O2 when for the same price or less I can have Unlim calls, texts and data.
Look at tmobiles business tariffs and vodafone offer something similar with their business clarity tariffs, hence I have moved to vodafone (well my sims have arrived and I am waiting for my number to port over)
I've unlocked my phone and can't wait to be on a better network.

how can you have unlimited text/calls/data for less than £20?
business tariffs? do you have to prove you own a business or something?

vodaphone/tmobile...... you would have to unlock the iphone, or buy it unlocked.... too complicated and probably even more expensive and voiding the warranty.... i dont wanna go there initially.

but out of 02 and orange, simplicity is the winner isnt it?
internet data ok?

im surprised 02 do not advertise about using simplicity with iphone..... are they trying to hide this offer?

It's not an offer, though it can be done. I was told in one conversation with o2 that there was no such option for iPhone use, then in another I was given instructions on how to change the APN settings to get data on an iPhone with my current non-iPhone-tariff sim. Those instructions now appear on the o2 website, so maybe they will make it official soon. I hope so, because a Simplicity-style option for the iPhone is precisely what I have been waiting for.

does anyone know if Orange will allow people already in contract with them to upgrade early to the iphone like O2 did?

"does anyone know if Orange will allow people already in contract with them to upgrade early to the iphone like O2 did?"

I registered my interest and then recieved an email with a promo code from Orange-phoned through to Orange and after pretty painless talk through was able to arrange an immediate upgrade-My old phone was already eligible for an upgrade though so that probably sped up the process-I don't know how it stands if you only recently upgraded your phone:eek: but probably worth a phone call

I done the register my interest thing and it said emailed me and gave me a the date when I could upgrade :-( about 6 months away :-(

I have emailed them so just waiting to hear back now \ not gonna hold out any hope I dont think tho :-(
