Regardless of what it now says on the Apple website or app, Apple now have nothing to do with your order, they've handed it over to UK Mail and therefore id go off what UK Mail are saying as they're the ones that are in control of the order now.

Check you are on the UK site and not the US site. the "preparing for shipment" is a US Apple Store term
