Haha, knew I should have gone white sport band with my Stainless Steel and not black!
 
Just checked my shipping info, seems my watch was ready for collection via UPS at 10:10am, but wasn't updated on my profile, or email sent until 2:11pm!

So basically had 4 hours of thinking it wasn't coming when it was obvious it had been rest to go! Damn you Apple!

I can't help thinking that this whole thing seems to stink.

No movement on my 42mm SS Black Sports Band model. No money taken. No money pending. No communication from Apple other than a slightly vague email. covering their backsides. Seems to be the worst launch ever. Over the years I have given Apple tens of thousands of my hard earned cash and all they can be bothered to send me is a generic email reminding me to make sure my iPhone is running iOS 8.2.

Would anybody care to theorise what is causing the hold ups with the black band SS and Sports watches? Production issues? Underestimation of demand?

In all honestly I don't care what colour my band is. I'll take blue, green, white... Just hurry up and get it to me!

I pre-ordered the 42mm SS Milanese at 8:01am, confirmation email by 8:02am. I ordered via the iPhone app as the main site didn't go live until 8:09am, that happened with the iPhone 6 pre-order as well.

Mine was shipped at around 10am this morning via UK Mail, so hopefully it should be with me Friday. There tracking site says delivery on the 24th so can't wait :D

Never had UK Mail deliver any Apple items to me before, it's always been UPS. UPS delivered my 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6+, iPad 1, 2, 3, 4, rMini and Air 2 all without issues.

UK Mail I very rarely get, though they do tend to deliver early in the day so that a big plus, UPS 90% of the time deliver after 3PM. I find that annoying as the UPS depot is only around 10 miles away, while UK Mail is around 15 miles away.

All couriers around here are very good though, never had an issue with any of them luckily.
