If we see no movement today and yet get some sort of firm comment that DSM has taken delivery over the weekend then clearly this must be a conscious decision by someone at Apple.
Perhaps they see us as sheep and they know we will buy the product regardless and therefore wait, but they also want to tap into casual buyers so they keep stock in these special stores.

If it didn't happen last night, it'll probably be tonight when movement occurs. Unless they do a bulk dispatch during the day...does anybody know if dispatch emails are at certain times of the day of random?
Should we make some guesses as to who will be the first to post that their status has changed?

Perhaps it's a conscious decision to expand the retail side into non-tech stores which would probably result in a certain amount of stock being allocated for the non-tech retail partners.

The last time I was like this was around 10 years ago when I tried to track down a Wii. Finally got one very quickly by waiting in a Game store for nearly 3 hours. The staff there thought I was nuts!
Hmm, I just called them and they said they didnt open till 11, and they didn't have the watch I wanted in stock and not sure when they'll be recieving more...

I am 42mm SG Sports at 8:16 so probably like the fourth batch that will get processed but I'm still holding out hope!
