But the Apple website says estimated delivery of May 8th? What is this?
Don't worry about that. What does the Dispatch email state?
Mine says the same but email States delivery tomorrow

It always says that, people who got theirs on launch day said that Apple's tracking said that for them. When you get an actual UK Mail/DPD/whatever tracking number it will say tomorrow
No medic required - order had shipped already so I just got the "tough luck we've already charged you" message.
I always scoffed at the people who worried about passing cancel. Egg. Face.
My girlfriend ordered a 38mm SS Watch with WSB which was delivered last Friday. Looking at the production info her watch was manufactured in Week 14 (April) in Factory HH (wherever that is).
My 42mm SS Watch with BSB is due for delivery tomorrow and was manufactured in Week 16 (also April) in the same factory.
Think Apple is shipping these things out just as soon as they can make 'em.

My card was charged last Tuesday 21st at 3pm for £339. I was all set for a release day delivery. NOTHING CHANGED until this afternoon.
This afternoon, the authorisation apple put on my card for £339 dropped off unclaimed, so my available balance came back.
At 4pm, switched to 'preparing for dispatch' and sure enough, I've just had a dispatch notification.
I ordered the Space Grey 42mm Black Sport band at 8:03am 10/04.
Delivery says UPS (everyone else is UKMAIL?), but the Apple site says expect it tomorrow.
But - just remember that because you've had an auth/charge on your card, doesn't mean it's going to move. Mine took another week!
Oh and I've not been charged yet - no further auth.

Potentially but I have a 3-4 weeks dispatch otherwise. Seems odd to have the money 'taken' so far in advance.

Yeah, I got really worried when I saw that on mine too, but the UKMail website says "Expected delivery date: 29/04/2015", so it's all good
Just an update: The UK Mail website just says "Your Parcel is awaiting collection" so there's not a lot to see. But for peace of mind I guess hope it recognises your orders soon!
