Anyone else seeing that the 'Order Status' checker is currently down? Every time I go on to it I get the 'We're Sorry' splash screen explaining that the traffic to the checker is too high for them to deal with my request right now.

I wonder if they're busy updating shipping estimates.

Yes I'm getting the same thing, when did you order yours?

No, it happens every Sunday morning (routine maintenance I assume).

Last night.

Wouldn't surprise me. Apple seem to have lots of these unannounced 'routine' maintenance periods. Like the time I ordered my rMBP refurb, I added it to my basket along with a case and then checked out. My confirmation email only had the case on it. I called Apple and they said the refurb store went down for 'routine maintenance' literally when I placed my order, so the item was skipped. Unbelievable!

Can't believe how they don't seem to use redundant servers to switch between, which would completely avoid outages like this.

Probably comes down to cost. Yes they can afford it, but is it really worth the time, effort and cost of maintaining additional servers just to avoid taking down the store for 1-2 hours each Sunday in the middle of the night (for them).

It's like banks, sometimes when I log into my account it says they will be performing routine maintenance between 5am - 6am, but as it's the middle of the night no-one cares or even notices if they didn't warn you.

Looks like my watch is being delivered by UPS tomorrow. :D

Anyone know what their delivery windows are. It just says by end of day? Does that mean 6pm?

From memory it's any time between 9am to 7pm, but they say on their website it can be delivered later than this too.

Unfortunately, you can't get a time slot - their website updates will just continue to say that it will be delivered by end of the day (even on the day of delivery) and if you phone them they can't give you a more specific time period either.

do you know if any store in uk (apple stores or others) have apple watch in stock now? Or you can only buy it at apple online store? I ordered mine (42 mm SG BSB) 2 days ago and the estimated delivery is "July"...

There are two stores that sell them, think they are in london but it discussed in another thread

You wait time is about right for that watch, seems to be the most popular and the longest wait

Hi new here but a long time apple fan. I ordered the 42 SS BSB on the 22/4, this still stuck in the dreaded "June" ship date. Ive seen movement with WSB having a more precise dispatch date. Has anyone had a date with the BSB?

Hi guys,

hope you are doing well, just an update on the Apple Watch.

Mine arrived on Friday, I was away with work so got it on Saturday. I was impressed with it, very comfortable on compared to any other watch I've worn.

Over the past 24 hours I have found it useful, it would not be as intuitive as the iPhone or iPad etc however once you get comfortable with it you'll be flying.

It was worth the wait, overall I feel that the Apple Watch would not have shipped under Steve Jobs in its current state however the software updates will improve the functionality and its up to the 3rd party developers to really take advantage.

I ordered the same on 18/4 still says "june" :( :apple:

Selfridges and Dover Street Market, both in London.

But do these shops have 42mm SG BSB in stock?! In theory, apple will give preference to the people that have ordered it in his own online shop. Or not? So, can i get the watch sooner in that stores or is the wait similar?

I ordered on 17/4 and mine says June!!

I thinkeveryone that ordered 2-3 hours after 8am on 10/4 has June!!

I dont know how far we are but Apple has only shipped the first 9-10 minutes of orders on the 42mm SG models.

I think once the initial burst of 20 -30 mins of orders are done for the SG model the rest are spread around eg late on 10th and maybe some on 11,12,13 etc.

It appears the first 20-30 minutes of preorders was the busiest period.

AWS 42mm BSB

I ordered my AWS 42mm Black SB on 26th April and am currently sitting at the dreaded "June" too.

Been keeping up with this thread for a few weeks and it's been really useful so far, so thanks to all the contributors so far.

Going by where shipping is at, it looks like I'll be around for a wee while longer....:D

I believe the SG ones are done up to about :18 which was all of them in the 12th - 26th range hopefully. Praying to get some movement on Monday - mine was 09:14:20 so not too far into the next window I don't reckon.

If I could get an idea of an actual date rather than just "June" I'd be happy. So much secrecy and suspense after the launch its intense.

After trying on some in my local store today I've ordered an apple watch 38mm with black sports band. I've not kept up with the abbreviations :) Found it odd that a 1-2 week despatch time turns into 29th May - 5th June shipping window but appreciate its better than a fair number of those waiting for other combinations. I'd love a modern buckle (as per one of the ones I tried on today), but will wait until these are around in the shops I think. Despite me warning him my wrist was pretty small, the apple guy was still surprised he had to adjust the modern buckle down a hole or two (this was the small).
