I looked at that the other day. Looks to be the only other one that is half decent. I know there was an uproar about the printing on the top side of the aluminum. I don't think that would bother me that much.
As for AC+, I'm not sure! I always assumed that they would make it easy to buy haha. It could be though that they need to physically see or in some way verify the device to prevent fraud claims before you can get it. Either way I think it's a safe bet for the small extra cost.

Having just checked the Apple Store app, the above model is now quoted as to be delivered in 4-5 weeks for new orders. This looks like those of us early pre orderers will be getting our watches much earlier than the delivery estimates on our orders currently. I ordered around 11:30 on the 11th April and am hoping mine will be on the next batch to fly in, hopefully next week. Also considering reports that the vast majority of orders being placed in the first hour of pre orders, everyone still waiting should be fulfilled very soon too I predict.

No, they can't attach the Applecare+ until you have the serial number. It is simply a 5 minute phone call once you have the watch in your hands.
If you check your support profile on apple website and your watch serial and details may be there. Then take the serial and call Apple.

Does anyone know if the watch can be picked up from UPS before delivery?
Mine dispatched today and is set to be delivered on Tuesday but I am going away and there will be no one there to sign for it.
Tried to change the address but the UPS website is rubbish and wouldn't let me.
Going to ring up tomorrow to see if I can change the address to a family members house, but do you think they'd let me pick it up from them, as it's currently in Tamworh only an hour away from me :/

Anyone else make sense of the delivery estimates? I checked mine and it shows late June-early July as being 5-6 weeks for my 42mm SS BLL yet if I made a new order it shows 4-5 weeks and gives an earlier delivery date in the checkout than my order from April... I assume my order would still be processed prior to anyone who ordered the watch right now, despite the estimate on delivery?
Evidence from this thread does support that Apple are processing orders in order of when they were placed. I am confident that those of us April orderers will get our watches earlier than the estimates we have as Apple will keep to the the frames for new orders so ours have to come sooner.
I ordered my second SS watch last Friday and it originally said July delivery. Since then it has changed three times and now says 22nd June-29th June.

I got my first one. Was sitting home awaiting my arrival. The 42SS is a thing of beauty - hang in there.
I understand you wont get it by 27th unless Apple to a huge delivery Tuesday which is most likely and you get it next day!!
Im hoping a huge delivery flies in this weekend and Monday it gets sorted and Tuesday they allocate and send out!!

UPS have to have one attempt before you can collect which is why I ask.
The band was dispatched last night and arrived at the depot early this morning. Called up and asked if I could collect. First delivery would've been attempted on Tuesday.
It was the Croydon depot - about 30 mins from me in south London.
