no change for my space grey overnight. Still PFD. My leather loop however is out for delivery today

Hope today is the day for movement on the SS.

Would be nice to have delivered Monday as its my day off :p

me too...off mon tues weds so if not dispatched today I probably won't get it until then

i think I was charged a few days ago but my bank shows payment as pending an authorisation was made by my bank a few days ago

I was really hoping to wake up to see it being dispatched after my card being charged yesterday :(

But still stuck on Preparing to Dispatch and still nothing in my support profile.

This is driving me insane, ordered the space grey sport 42mm on the 10th April, been waiting on it since then and all of a sudden around 3pm my delivery status changes to preparing to dispatch and has been stuck there since. I've seen others on forums that ordered the same model after the 10/4 getting notification theirs have been dispatched. Only thing I can think of is logistics I live in Scotland so probably won't deliver until they have enough orders to ship whereas someone nearer a major transit hub or in an area of higher order numbers would have shipped first. At least thats what I'm trying to tell myself and it's not that Apple's screwed up the orders letting people jump the queue.

That is very odd. I ordered on Sunday 12th April at like 5:30pm and mine is out for delivery today. Very very odd!

I wouldn't have thought this was an issue. Apple will just punt the watches out as quickly as they can to the carriers. The carriers will worry about shipping logistics from that point on and they'll run deliveries to the majority of Scotland every day.

Yep about what I'm thinking just now, if this is the way Apple handles pre-orders then what the hell's the point, seen a post from one guy who ordered the same model as me on the 24th May and they've got the same delivery slot as me:confused::mad:

We have UPS 237 taking off in the next 90 minutes from Louisville to Philly. Can't see anything scheduled from there to here though.

Don't worry, as soon as the plane lands in Philly a new flight to East Midlands will appear. Yesterday when the plane left Philly we started seeing charges ( don't know if it was a coincidence or not ).

Ive seen people order days or even weeks after me and had theirs shipped. Total joke!

I figured that might be the case.

Looking through this thread back to Thuraday last week, most charges / updates were reported while the plane was in the air (from 12:00 through 18:00).

We Brits love to queue.
The problem here is we can't see the queue here, so we're just "waiting", which is a pain.

Seems more than a coincidence given another post on another thread showing Louisville as a transit hub then from there to Philadelphia.

While I wait for my Apple Watch to arrive, I did a rough calculation of the carbon footprint generated by it's journey from China to NY. It's stayed on the same 747 for the entire trip. I used info from the Carbon Independant site to calculate...

--> 4 tonnes or 4.4 metric tons of CO2 emmissions
--> 120 tonnes or 132.2 metric tons of jet fuel

And that's just one plane for one company for one trip... Who needs glaciers anyway, I just want my :apple:Watch

8 hours -- China to Anchorage (6927km)
6 hours -- Anchorage to Louisville (5011km)
2 hours -- Louisville to New York (1046km)

Total Hours: 16
Total km: 12984
(used TravelMath site)

Mine seems to have been charged, got the email yesterday and updated to PFD but no change on the status. Hoping the charge means it'll definitely leave later today though! I'm in central London so crossing my fingers I'll get it tomorrow and not have to spend a weekend being impatient. (When I thought I still had a month to wait, it was fine... but now I know it's literally waiting to be sent to me, I'm getting frustrated! :D )
