When your phone is unlocked it doesnt tap you.

Got my AW yesterday and played with it all day.

To feel the taptic make sure the watch is securely tied not too loose but not too tight to stop your blood supply!!

Go to apple watch app on iphone and click on the taptic feedback option...

From there you can play with strength of the taptic low to high. Try that and choose desired taptic strength!! Mines on high....

Taptics happen when you get a whatsapp message, text message, phone call rings and taps you can mute the ringing and choose tap only!!

Hope that helps any more Q's fire away!!

Ive set the settings to custom seems it now taps and sounds for messages & emails for a sec i thought it was knackered already ! Lol

Monday crew check in!! Whose in for a Monday UK mail delivery?

I just got told I couldn't without 24hr notice in the depot by me (literally 5mins away in the same town!!!!!!)

So obviously you rang 24 hours ago. And when you go in you remind them of this, and that it's not your fault somebody forgot to sort it on the system, and then they will go and get your box from one of the cages.

Interesting comparison :) I've got a vivoactive and the AW doesn't come close for outdoor activities. Did some lengths in the pool with the VA today :)
Garmin does feed into the health app? Until I got my AW, my steps were feeding in. I can't actually check the history as my phone just sits there (presumably due to the amount of historic data?), but I the graph certainly shows this.
I've now turned off steps for Garmin so the watch is the only input to stop double counting.
On the plus side as an everyday watch the AW is hands down better; mostly due to auctioning notifications (I had a fenix 1 and a vivosmart prior to the VA).
Enjoy your watches! I thought I'd be selling the VA but I think each have their uses in my life...

Cheers, mate. I agree. I am a pretty serious runner, so there is no way the AW can ever replace a designated sport watch for me. The vivoactive is also a great piece of kit; definitely better for sports than the AW.

My Milanese 42 has been on order since 30th April with no movement so I placed a second order for a 42 SS with black sports band which arrived yesterday.

Called Apple to say I wanted to swap the strap... they've charged me for a new Milanese and have arranged to collect the sports band.

They refund me when they get the sports band back but they said I can carry on wearing the sports band until the Milanese gets here... which should be very soon apparently.

Seems crazy that this convoluted "workaround" gets me a watch and strap quicker than ordering it all together.

When did you order your SS black sports watch for it to arrive before your milanese order?

I'm the manager of an authorised service centre in Manchester, so I repair all the macs :) that's the reason behind my username also :D

Ah nice. When I worked for apple we couldn't get anything personal delivered to our store - was a total joke given we worked in a major shopping centre and due to shifts it was very hard to arrange deliveries!

I ordered an 42mm SS earlier in the week, it was quoted as being 4-5 weeks, delivery expected first week in July. Two days later it had dropped to 2-3 week with delivery expected 17th-21st June. Only problem is I will be out of the country until late on the 18th, hope it arrives later rather than sooner!

Checking out until next year...

Hi all

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for keeping me sane over the past few weeks but I finally got my watch today so I'm going to try to stop looking at this thread now.

I managed to talk TNT and Apple into letting me pick my watch up today from the TNT depot because I'm now not going to be home for a week and a half (well home on Sunday but no deliveries on a Sunday). It took a lot of phone calls and chats to get this to happen. Apple were ok with it, TNT on the other hand were very unhelpful until this morning when I could prove that I had tracked it to my local delivery office. When I say local its 40 miles away but thats nothing when Apple tech is concerned.

I've got the 42mm SS BCB and all I can say is wow, its crazy good. It's worth the wait guys... Hang in there!

I'm sure I will see most of you again this time next year for the next round. :D

You can ask Apple to inform the delivery company to hold it until you return and then they can deliver on the day you are back and can be at home.

Grrr watch ha been sat in Birmingham since yesterday, better get here on 1st like they said!
