So you don't think it's worth it? I'm actually on my way to BestBuy to see they will price match it.

For me, no, only because I have other iPad's but don't own a mini yet. I'll wait but if you were in the market for a mini, this isn't a bad deal. It's cheaper than an Apple refurb.

Bestbuy price matched it for me but at first they were hesitant. They even called Target to confirm they had in Stock and we're selling at that price.

So I bought it and got 6 months of no financing.

Recently bought an original ipad mini lte 64gb for 399€. Awesome deal.

For most uses the original mini is well enough.
Also its very marginally lighter, thinner and has stronger batter life than the retina.

do u remember when the mini was released? thought so, it's an old device
I remember it like it was yesterday.
I didn't think you can put iOS 8 on an A5 based iOS device....
I'm using some apps on my iPad 2 and some are becoming a bit sluggish, so an A5 iPad Mini may be already showing its age as well...
... You can put ios8 on the original mini.

I picked one up too. $189 (with REDcard) for an iPad mini (even though it's a bit outdated) is still a fantastic deal.

Gonna put iOS 8 on this bad boy ;)

I honesly really missed owning a mini. Glad i got this one. When the 3rd gen mini comes outt his fall, im going to sell this one and upgrade to a brand new one. Only 4 months away. Hmmm.... Going to be kind of toss up ish but i gues sthays what i'll do.

Bah, I decided to get one as well. Best Buys trade in price is $152. It may drop a little when the 2nd rMini's are introduced.

Best Buy (US) just matched target in normal pricing... The real benefit for the Savvy buyer are the opened box deals. $179 and lower depending on date and condition... Gonna try and nab one for $150 or so

Whew, the screen is off putting. Readability is not as bad on the iPad 2 with the same resolution and larger screen. I'm leaning on taking it back and waiting for the rMini to replace the Mini later this year.

Me too :(

I wanted to love it but that screen... :yuck:

Not to mention the slow internals (32-bit, A5, 512mb RAM) that won't be able to get many iOS updates compared to the much faster iPad mini retina.

I'm debating if I should buy an iPad mini retina off craigslist for $300 (tax free) in mint condition with case + screen protector included and warranty until Jan 2015

iPad's dont need to be the newest device, my iPad 2 is perfect for what I use it for, emails, web browsing, news, and creating documents. mo need for super high specs, this is a great deal for a lot of people, no need to be rude about it.

& the Mini picks up the much better front and rear cameras - from .9mp/.3mp to 5.0mp and 1.2mp.

And Siri.

for $199 i'm going to pick this up just to use as a gps in my car and stream my sirius xm..

Just look at these prices on amazon for a gps

Whoa hold on iirc only the cellular enabled iPads have GPS.
