On the Windows side of things they rely on DirectX for PS2 and Gamecube emulation and it leaves me wondering how quickly they'll write a suitable OS X analog for it.

PS1 and N64 support will be coming soon along with other platforms. You will have to provide your own BIOS though. It will be cool to have those, especially with the PS emulator and games all in one app.

PS2 will be cool to see since all the emulators I've tried never worked so good. ePSXe has been great so far though. I love how easily the PS3 Six Axis works too. OpenEMU has done a tremendous job on this so far.

I've been running the beta version of OpenEmu (download from their site by clicking the arrow next to the download button). It has N64 support and works well. I'm using a PS4 controller via Bluetooth. There's a slight graphics/audio lag sometimes, but everything I've tried so far has been playable.

I have installed the experimental build of OpenEmu with allows you to download the MAME core to play Arcade ROMs but nothing happens when I try to open any of them. I understand this feature is in beta but have heard others have been to play various ROMs. Any suggestions to resolve is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Do you really need this front-end to use Mame? Mame OS-X (not up to date but still runs nearly every game from the '80s and '90s and perhaps a few newer) works fine here still in Mavericks and has its own front-end that is more than adequate. I can use my PS3 controller or my Atari USB adapter with my old Amiga/C64 arcade style stick. I'm sure various real arcade part joysticks designed for Mame and other adapters work fine as well with it.

I have had constant crashes when for example manually resetting the game, quitting the game, or every single time when I try to take a screenshot in game. When this crash happens, of course I lose everything since my last save state, as the actual SRAM isn't written until you quit playing the game.

I'd like to play Game Boy games on a Super Game Boy emulator (so they have real colour and supports borders etc.), but I haven't had luck with any SGB emulators since DOS times with No$GameBoy :(

Enabling Wifi for Emulators?

Does anyone know how to enable wifi for the Nintendo DS (or other) emulators for OpenEmu?

An All in One Emu? Great!

Before this Emulator was ever released I had been wanting to port all of my Emulator stuff all onto one shiny DVD to save space on my Mac's HDD. (Or at least port most of the roms as some emulators need to be a part of a Mac's architecture for them to work. (Unlike Windows, where you can port the whole thing and run it completely from disc, providing all the necessary configs are carried out the way you want them to)

PS2 and Yabause have always been the more 'difficult' emulators.
(As you have to change it's settings for each game to get it working right, PCXS2 is an absolute nightmare to get right if you are running a high end rom..Think WWF's 'Here Comes the Pain' as the frame rate goes up and down dramatically in-between games)

Mame should do an all in one system also, as some versions of it work well with certain games than others. (Have to run a windows version of an Old mame32 to run games like Batman and Vendetta to name a few)

Loved how simple it is to run games via Sega Model 3 Emu 'SuperModel'
(Star Wars trilogy plays like a dream)

Having an all in one emulate is the way to go :)
