is it even possible to patch el cap on 32 bit efi mac other than mac pro since none of the patchers work, and all the files needed to patch are either lost or scattared over internet?
I was able to patch El Capitan on my MacBook Pro 2,2 using skyfly555’s method, though you will need another device capable of running El Capitan (either a real Mac or a hackintosh).

guess im out of luck then. if you could share disk image of already installed el capitan i would be thankful

in disk utilty (at least in 10.8), on the upper list you have disk image icon with white pluse. under it it says "new image" it will create a .dmg file copy of partition you choosed on the list, on the left. when done, you upload it on the cloud disk of your choice. there are youtube videos on that if i missed something.

Alright, got it, though since you said you don’t have another El Capitan capable machine to rebuild kextcache I guess I have to give you the already patched version, though from my experience this usually means stuff like the camera doesn’t work properly.

best i can think of is mega but it offers 20gb max... you can try attach it here, maybe it will fit
EDIT: i think it might be possible to upload it here. It let me try to upload my 28 gb image of my disk

I’ve made the image, however I don’t have any cloud storage that can fit it at the moment, do you have somewhere I can upload it to? The file size is 32GB.

i ended up using hurtkay mods el capitan.dmg file with custom boot.efi file that disable SIP by deafult. also i added kext from first post. its working but i cant install latest working security update because it disables usb kexts for some other reason, gma kexts works. and after trying to do anything with those kexts it give me kernel panic.

Just a quick message :

I just saw that Julian Fairfax has updated his patcher few days ago, so now that I have another MacBook2,1 to repair, I saw if this new version changed something and the answer is yes, now, the used EFI file seems to work perfectly. However, I can't boot my El Capitan Installer on my MacBook2,1 directly, I need to swap the SSD to my MacBook5,2 for the install.

Appreciated that! I will try again installing el Capitan

Ah great for Mavericks (I've never tried Mavericks, for this on my SSD I installed Mountain Lion wiht the previous version fine) :), but yeah for El Capitan, it's was also a problem for me ... maybe if you want to retry again, and also for the other people that may read me, maybe try others installers (like the original 10.11, or the official installer from Apple).

You have El Capitan running on your MacBook Pro 2,2 without crashing???

I also have a MacBook Pro 2,2, I've been fighting with mine to get El Capitan running on my MacBook Pro 2,2...

I can get it to the Welcome screen with no USB which is also the keyboard and trackpad not working, or, by adding some different kext's it will boot to the welcome screen with everything working, but it crashes after 2 minutes...

I'm so close...

I would love to have that Image. I've been working on this for over a week, trying anything I can find, but I'm a noob when it comes to this old mac... but I am learning...

The maximum file size you can upload to Google Drive is 5 TB. However, there is also a daily limit of 750 GB for uploads and copies within a 24-hour period. Files larger than 750 GB can still be uploaded, but only the first one will complete if it exceeds the daily limit.

I'm really starting to hate this damn thing...

Semi-Success!!! I decided to try installing Mavericks, and at first, it didn't seem to have worked, but then it popped up on my os chooser screen, so I tried it, and it booted all the way up! And so far, it's working great!

WOW! I can download Windows 7 install software and Boot Camp support with the Boot Camp assistant AND the app store is working!!! never had any of that in OS X Lion!!!

AND the app store has updates for me!!! I'm not going to do any update until I know it's safe and it won't mess up what I've got going on here...

Getting Windows on this was MUCH more difficult; there is one, and only one way to get an install booting on this thing, and I would know because I tried about a 100 ways over a week and a half, BUT now I have Mavericks, Lion, and Windows 10 to boot to...

Now if I could get video acceleration, and sound working on Mavericks, I'd be set!

Still trying to get an El Capitan Install USB made using macOS Extractor, but nothing ever goes like the instructions given... Nothing...

And this thread seems to be long abandoned?

I know this is a long shot because this thread seems abanded, But here it goes...

I followed Method 3 v3 - @skyfly555's method to the letter, and I saw everything I was supposed to see from the "com.apple.kext.caches" in the right spot, to "root:wheel" being everywhere after the command "ls -l"...

Everything went very smoothly and as expected, Only on boot I got this...

Boot Crash.jpg

And I was wondering if anyone here knows what this is, or is the cause?? and more importantly, how to fix it??

booting with a different "boot.efi" I am able to get it booted to the welcome screen, set up my WiFi connection, and it asks to turn on location services, and........ it reboots back into Lion OS...

If anyone has any advice, I'd sure appreciate it...
