Hi @TMRJIJ Every time i Run AutoPatch, They Fail

I do...

Though I just got a few parts super cheap and upgraded my MacBookPro2,2 to a MacBookPro4,1 that has a 64-bit EFI...

I can understand moving on to better computers, but they could still share any knowledge they may have that could help someone?

Well, I didn't like messing around with a 32 bit EFI with the MacBookPro2,1, so I did a little bit of UPGRADING!

This laptop went from a MacBook Pro A1211 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo macbookpro2,1 32bit EFI

To a...

MacBook Pro A1260 2.40GHz Core 2 Duo macbookpro4,1 64bit EFI

It cost me $16 for the motherboard and $32 for the newer display/keyboard/trackpad for an A1260 MBP...

It's all back together and running great, it's even running cooler now for some reason?

After the upgrade to A1260 Mac OSX Mavericks installed perfectly with everything working, including full Intel HD sound, Nvidia-accelerated video, and the App Store!!!

Just couldn't get Mav to work on the A1211 with ATI video and whatever the sound was?

And now I just natively installed El Capitan on the upgraded 2007 A1260, and it's perfect with everything working just like Mavericks...

What a difference a $16 motherboard off ebay can make!!!

Hi @TMRJIJ Every time i Run AutoPatch, They Fail
I left the unsupported Mac community years back when my MacBook 4,1 died. Have no way of testing but I’m pretty sure Cloudflare enforced a newer TLS protocol that breaks the AutoPatch when trying to connect to the server.

I tried recompiling an offline version with my MBP M1, but it just refused to work for some unknown reason

As for MacPostFactor, the main developer on that app also abandoned the project and I don’t have his source code to recreate it.

Now that I have accomplished my goal of getting El Cap fully working on my pre-unibody MBP, I've turned my attention to the early MBP unibody A1286. I got a great deal on one in near like-new state running Big Sur, Let's see what I can do with this...
