It was only put up today. I don't see any thunderbolt or visual differences. Would they really do such a thing?!
I've been waiting for the new MBA to make the jump to Mac for the first time. For those of you familiar with past hardware launches, is it true that it is normally just the base model and max model available in stores? I'm heading back to grad school and looking to get the fully loaded model, hopefully that includes 8gb of RAM. Just trying to determine if I should drive the 90 minutes to the nearest store first thing tomorrow.
Exactly as predicted by me they announced the release of Lion and MacBook Air during the first couple of minutes of the conference call.Apple normally announces new products at public events. Gee, I wonder if they will announce the shipping of MacBook Air, Mac-Mini, and Lion at the 2pm conference call tomorrow?

My experience with the local Apple store is that they don't have stock to sell for a couple of days after release. Maybe the store is at the far end of the distribution pipeline. Maybe there is a line when the store opens and all their stock is gone immediately. I don't know.
Really? Hmmm.... I must've missed the MacBook Air half of that announcement...Exactly as predicted by me they announced the release of Lion and MacBook Air during the first couple of minutes of the conference call.
